The second generation were/are my fave group of members but by the end of April there will be only two remaining! Not going to be negative about management today but it's a bit of a known fact how save for one member the 2G gals never had the same opportunities as other members. But I've liked them so much and back in November 2020 began a monthly series featuring them. But that petered out in May of last year and that really didn't need to happen. What took place was that there so many graduations so there weren't too many things for posts. Plus two members who are such massive faves of mine have only had solo posts for since then though one did graduate two weeks ago.
Back in January 2020 there were nine second generation members still with Nogi out of an original eleven. Now by the end of April it'll be down to two which is kind of sad to me and I'll bet some other Nogi fans too. So the revival in the title is because I think there could be at least 2-3 more posts in the next two months and hopefully more. There's been zero group posts in at least seven months so there's some missed things from 2021 to post about. That original series wasn't all that popular compared to other Nogi posts and hopefully the last two members will stick around for a while to keep this series going. So of course at the top is Hinako who has had seven solo posts already this year. Will continue to have them but will also include some of her activities in these 2G posts. Not sure when her next post will be and those top two pics are from her new photobook.
No photobook for her mate Rena who just may be Nogi's smartest member and also so much busier than I thought. She has a popular radio show and also wrote a book which I'll discuss more in the next post in this series. Rena will be turning 25 in May and I really thought she would have graduated by now but her career seems to be going well. Back in March 2020 she graduated from Keio University which is why I thought she would have left but luckily she's stayed and hopefully for a while. She did center a B-side song on the 'Fingers Crossed" single from last year.
I would consider Mai to now be my #1 Nogi member of all time though she did graduate two weeks ago. Will continue to have solo posts for her but will also be including some things in these group posts such as older group spreads which many may have never seen. Included that bottom pic as it's a rarity to see members of Nogi and Hina together.
