Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: A little bit of this and that for 2019 #7....

Back after a mini three day vacation, really needed it to recharge my batteries. May start doing that more often such as taking two days off a week such as Wednesday and possibly Thursday but still there still should be close to the same amount of weekly posts. Here's a face we don't see enough of these days, actually a better word would be never and these days I miss her more than any other Idol save for perhaps a pair of C-ute gals.
So many of my huge faves have graduated the past two years which has definitely affected my interest in J-Pop and many groups. Nogi has lost so many members too but luckily there's still many long time faves in the group. But the question is how many first generation members will be there a year from now, don't know but if they're all gone then Nogi posts may be too.

No Miona this post as I'm working on a solo one for her though it may not come out until next weekend. With a graduation thought she'd move into the top spot for my fave member but then again perhaps not as I was overlooking someone. That's Kazumi who I truly adore, in those two top ten lists I've had for fave members she finished second both times so would make sense for her to take over the top spot. Of all the Nogi members bet she'd end up being the #1 wife by far.
Kazumi is also an accomplished author these days as she released a novel lat year that's been a massive seller. The literary world has noticed too as she's now quite respected and not for being in Nogi. On April 16th she was at a press conference as she was appointed as an ambassador for the 'Reiwa Novel Award' which is for aspiring new writers. Nice prizes for finishing first as you can win three million yen, a publishing contract and more.

There's not a huge amount of variety for today but this is going to end up being a massive post picture wise, so many am holding back many things for some upcoming posts. Could be two of them this weekend as four Nogi members will be at tomorrow's 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show and should be many pics from it though wish there were more attending.

On Wednesday Nogi released their fourth album "Ima ga Omoide ni Naru Made". Do have it but haven't listened to the new cuts on it yet though will be doing so this weekend. First day sales were quite impressive as the total sold was 332,000+ copies which may be a record for their albums.

Have three mag spreads for today and am holding back two of them. One member who we haven't seen for so, so long is Rena Yamazaki who has been an Undergirl for too long. She'll be turning 22 next month and this set is from volume 132 of Marquee.

Next set is also from Marquee which features another long time Undergirl who is Miria. But finally we can call her a Senbatsu member as she'll be one for Nogi's 23rd single coming out on May 29th, she's deserved that honor for two years though.

I've liked Miria for such a long time, she's been my fave UG member for a while or at least the times when Hinako wasn't one. She's looking mighty fine these days and she has yet another solo spread which is from the May issue of UTB.

At the top of the post is a new CM for Fanta soda bottle that came out on April 11th. On the 17th five members were at an event to promote the CM along with some of the sodas. The event took place at the Laforet Museum in Harajuku, Tokyo and as you can see by many of the pics they were promoting a new design called 'Funny Face Bottles'. Erika said at the event that she's been a huge Fanta drinker since she was a child but she doesn't seem like the kind of person to drink soda pop, Yuki certainly dies though. Plenty of pics from the event and there's one more thing after these pics.

Isn't Asuka everywhere these days, she's really become the face of Nogi. As mentioned one of the new Fanta CM's is at the top of the post but there's a long behind the scenes video that is worth a watch or two, these are screenshots from it along with some promo pics. The special 'Funny Fave Bottles' will be on the Grape, Lemon and Orange sodas, bet they're not available at my store....
