Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Park Min-Young: Once again an overdue post....

.... which will always be the case for her. Was planning on doing a post about a month ago but there just weren't enough new things for a decent post but that's never stopped me before. The occasion would have been for Min-Young's birthday which took place on March 4th. She turned 34 and she's the oldest woman I post about on a semi regular basis but if you ask me she looks better at her current age then she did when she was 24.
Min-Young is one of only two gals to make my yearly top twenty faves list four years in a row but have a feeling she won't make it to five. This is her first post of the year and these days Min-Young isn't nearly as busy as she once was so think it may be impossible for her to hit the required six posts you need to become eligible. Will try my darndest to make it happen but don't have much confidence it'll happen but then again perhaps she's reading this(!) and wants to keep her streak alive.

Perhaps I could have done a post a month ago but waiting helped out a bit as there are some new pics and so many of them rate an A++++. Rarely have posts for Min-Young without many pics from Compagna and these are brand new for their Spring collection.

Actually did make a minor adjustment to the eligibility rule for the yearly list. The rule is you need six solo posts which is sometimes very difficult for Idols or Korean actresses so said if they have 250 or so pics in posts that'll make them eligible. Seeing as how most posts for actresses have about sixty pics it'll take about four posts for someone like Min-Young to qualify. This post has seventy new ones plus over ten oldies so a few more posts like this one should do the trick.
I truly like Min-Young and she'd be near the top of my list for gals I'd want to be shipwrecked with, hopefully never to be rescued!!!! Before the condition became so brutal in Italy the Milan Fashion Week did take place the third week of February. Wasn't as huge of an event as usual of course but guess who was on the RSVP list?

Min-Young's latest drama is titled "When the Weather is Fine", about a week before the above fashion show there was a mini streaming special show held for the series and why wasn't there a regular event?

The drama began on February 24th, there was no ban on events in Korea for another three weeks after that so didn't know why there wasn't an event for the show. Have watched the first two episodes and it's kind of a difficult show to describe. It's a very slow paced story which isn't a bad thing but for sixteen hour long episodes it could be. Min-Young plays the character of Hye-Won who was a cello teacher in Seoul but moved back to her small hometown Bookhyun.
She had been brought up by her aunt, the pair get along somewhat well but there's also much friction between them. Hye-Won had been a cello teacher but was fired when a student claimed she hit her which was a lie. Hye-Won is going through one of those 'What does life mean?' stages, perhaps returning to her hometown can give her some direction. She met a young man in town who owns a small bookstore and leads such a quiet, carefree life. Hye-Won becomes a bit curious about the man and the odd store he runs, kind of an interesting plot and is actually a better story than her previous drama which I honestly couldn't finish.

Holding off a bit with this post means there a pair of new Min-Young mag spreads for all to enjoy, this set is from High Cut #257.

Er, actually just this one set as the above would have been in that March post. This spread is one of Min-Young's top ones in quite a while and is from the April edition of Bazaar.

Shame there's been no events for Min-Young to attend as she usually looks so magnificent and ultra alluring at them. So will go back exactly one year, April 3rd to be exact, for an event to promote her previous drama "Her Private Life", easy to see why she makes my top twenty faves list every year. Not many recent videos save for the Compagna Spring/Summer collection so after the pics have a short one from the clothing company.
