Yui Imaizumi: "100 Moji Idea wo Drama ni Shita!" drama episode three recap, part one

This episode aired on January 20th at midnight on TV-Tokyo.
The series began on January 6th and features a different actress every two episodes. There's a unique twist to this drama as it invites viewers to mail in a story using less than 100 characters, then a writer will pen the script for a short story, these shows have three mini segments. The theme for the four January shows was 'Love' but the theme of each story needed to be something a bit quirky or different. An underlying storyline was 'In a world where love has disappeared how would you tell your special one you were in love?

Yui has the lead role for the third and fourth episodes which are broken down into three short segments. Thought I could squeeze all three into one post which is impossible even though a show is only 37+ minutes. As usual took an overabundance of screenshots, 56(!) to be exact even though this first segment was only 17 minutes long. So will just have this part today and then a post for the other two this weekend. These recaps should be short as they'll mainly consist of screenshots but know most viewers don't mind looking at Yui pics. She currently has two posts in the top for most views this past month but this one won't even come close to making the list but it was an enjoyable watch.

Yui plays the character of Kanami Maruoka, it's set in present time but the 'love laws' in Japan are slightly different, actually it's strange there are laws for it. To confess your love to someone you need a special license where you need to attend school and pass an exam. Kanami has been doing that and just received her provisional license but is still not qualified to tell someone she loves them.
Kanami is the only one in an advanced class and the name of her instructor was never mentioned, she only called the man Instructor. She's doing well in the class and it's almost like a regular class with videos and homework. The instructor showed Kanami various videos of a couple named Hanako and Tarou who get tangled in various love situations and she needs to figure out what kind of relationship the pair are in.

There's quite a few different classifications for relationships... a clinging couple, a pair truly in love, where one is too impatient, etc. Kanami does well at figuring out the types that Hanako and Tarou were acting out but not sure what that may have to do with getting a 'love license'. Actually another question is besides being able to confess your love are you qualified to counsel couples and other helpful things like that?
It's getting close to the final exam, Kanami should do well on it but there's one last scenario for her to do with the instructor. That's to play act as a couple with the first half scripted out and the rest you have to ad lib. The instructor played Tarou who wanted to marry Hanako but there's a dream he wants to try first.... to become a K-Pop Idol?! That threw Kanami as Hanako for a loop but she aced it perfectly. If Tarou wants to move to Korea to become an Idol then good luck to him as Hanako said she wouldn't stand in his way, Hanako only wanted a man who put their love first. To the instructor Kanami couldn't have handled the situation any better and it appears she's passed the final exam for her love license.

It didn't appear that Kanami was going to get her license as she did rather handily, now the question is what is she going to do with it? In a slightly offbeat ending Kanami made her first confession of love to... her instructor! He told Kanami don't use a confession on him but to save it for the outside world, why she wondered as didn't he love her too? No was the answer as the instructor is married which didn't matter to Kanami who ran after him saying she's willing to share him with the wife!

And that ended this mini seventeen minute segment which was quite sappy but then again also a bit fun. All three segments are entirely different with the next two being much more serious, should have those in one post this weekend. Kind of a time killer post but I'm such a big fan of Yui these days which made this show a must watch and have so many screenshots here for you to fill in the story better. She's also in the fourth episode which is another three segment show and should be able to have posts for that next week.
