An odd thought came into my head about two minutes ago, seems these oddities have been increasing! Voice acting groups/troupes spend so much time together, not just doing the voices for many TV animes but also have musical careers. Meaning the voice actress groups sing the theme songs to their shows plus release albums and singles which are often very popular and they perform at many concerts which I have found to be so much more enjoyable than the shows for J-Pop groups. So in a way voice actresses are very similar to J-Poppers but there is one major difference and never noticed it until now. I tend to follow the bigger voice acting groups such as Aqours and Liella! who each have about ten members, there's also many other smaller groups. Took a while to get to my point and that's being how come you never see any voice actresses graduate from their groups?
Sure it's happened but I can't recall any for the two groups mentioned or a few others I know about, so what makes these musical groups different than popular J-Pop groups such as Nogi or AKB? The turnover rates for groups these days is sickening, the members come and go at such a fast rate I know so few who are in groups these days! The gals in voice acting troupes tend to be a few years older, do they stay because they're more mature and can work better with others? Are the salaries better for actresses compared to Idols and on that point would say yes, also to actresses being more mature and work better as a team. Have no clue why I suddenly thought of that and probably because this is a post for a voice actress, I really like that genre of women. If you have any thoughts about what I just blabbered on about you could leave your own opinion, be nice to hear from more of you. These posts for voice actress photobooks are winding down and it's not as if there was a massive amount I had, perhaps a dozen. Would like to do more regular posts for members or even group posts but that hasn't been possible lately and will have one more Nanaka book coming up soon.
