Double Tone drama: episode 5 screenshots and recap

 Been a bit lazy doing the reviews on the last two episodes, finished them last week but my mind hasn't been in a reviewing mode as of late. Episode 5 here should be short and easy to do, was an okay show but hardly anything new happened as far as the plot or story goes, think these are the least amount of screenshots I've ever done for an episode because of that.
 Episode 4 ended off with Tamura who is living 2 years in the past having only two more days to live, she is in a slight stage of panic but not as much as you would think, she's kept her dying a secret of course because who would ever believe a story like that. All eyes are still pointing to the mysterious man Tatsuno as being the killer or someone who had a major role in the death of Tamura, Nakano who is living in the present hasn't done a good enough job yet in finding out who he is even though she thinks he's also going to kill her. The one new development was that Nakano broke up with Tamura's husband, he really wanted to get married to her and they were hitting it off very well but for some reason which didn't get explained too well she ended their relationship.
 And that's really all that happened, very little except that Tamura is one day closer to dying and Nakano also thinks she may be killed on the 2nd anniversary of her death. Worth watching but you could almost skip this episode, wasn't a bad one just that so little happened but all the answers luckily get answered in the final show which you can read about in the next post.

Double Tone drama: episode 6 screenshots and recap

 And we finally make it to the finale of this solid drama, I had no clue how this series would end up, this ending was good but could have been better but not sure what should have been done differently, main thing that bothered me was that the killer's identity seemed to be too easy to figure out, no suspense in that mystery but there was some suspense in all the other event that happened.
 It's now April 21st and Tamura from two years ago is supposed to die on this day sometime late in the afternoon, she asked her husband to come home from work early but he couldn't but a good friend of their's Ikuko said she would come and stay with her. Also in the present time Nakano thinks she is going to be killed that day too and what do you know, Ikuko also said she would come to her apartment to safeguard her. Was a little obvious but at this point you knew who the killer was and it wan't the mysterious man Tatsuno but the so called friend of both our heroines, Ikuko.
 Back in the past Tamura thought she was safe but that wasn't so as Ikuko had suddenly attacked her with a knife, Tamura wasn't stabbed but managed to run to the balcony, this is how she was supposed to die by falling off it. She had kept Ikuko at bay but for the time being but there was no way she was going to deafeat her, one cannot change their destiny is what she had been thinking all that day and would she be right. Well no, she was wrong as for some strange reason her husband had come home and just in time too as he was able to subdue Ikuko and she was saved, the past can be changed but what about the future as Ikuko also has plans to kill Nakano.
 And tried to kill her she did by the same method and with the same knife too that she had tried to kill Tamura with but just like what had happened in the past Tamura's husband showed up in the nick of time to save Nakano. However in saving her he ended up getting stabbed and when it looked like Ikuko was going to put the final touches on them in rushed our mysterious man Tatsuno who saved the day as he was an undercover detective who had been following Ikuko around for some time as he knew what her plan was.
 But back in the past Tamura was saved and this ended up changing the whole story around in the last few minutes as now it's present day and Tamura and her husband are still happily married. And the stabbing of her husband seemed to have never happened as once Ikuko was arrested everyone's memory of each other and what happened has disappeared, what happened in the past remained the same but everything that had happened to Nakano seems to have never occurred.
 That's how the drama ends, seems like it went in one big circle, none of the events and them knowing each other had happened in the beginning and after 6 episodes that remained the same, maybe I missed it but not sure what ever happened to Ikuko. All that happened in 28 minutes, lot packed into one show and probably how I described it may sound a bit confusing but took many more screenshots than usual to help you understand a bit better the ending, I may watch this episode once again to see what was missed. Final rating for this series would be an 8.5/10, recommend it highly, no action and only a bit of suspense but for the most part was just so interesting from start to finish.

Double Tone drama episode 3 screenshots and recap

 Though it's not the best drama of the season find myself enjoying this than any other one, bit slow but never drags, an interesting and unique story keeps the viewer wanting more for some reason, at least for me. This show can also go by the name Futari no Yumi, think it means two people who are named Yumi.
 The two named Yumi are Nakano(Noriko) who is living in the present and is a single woman around 30 who is working for a small advertising agency. The other Yumi is Tamura(Tomoka) who is living 2 years in the past(!), she is married with a young daughter and works PT in a small accountant's office, her marriage is a bit shaky for the first two episodes but gradually improves over the 2 shows we'll be reviewing today. For some strange reason the two can see each other's lives in their dreams, why this is happening has yet to come to light but what has come to light in this episode was that Tamura is now deceased, how and why it happened is unknown. She asks Nakano to find out what happened to her so episodes 3 and 4 mainly consist of her trying to find out how she died and trying to do it in a subtle way.
 Meanwhile in the past Tamura though quite tense knowing she's about to die isn't letting it affect her life, she's actually getting along better with her husband and he with her, what looks like a normal family makes one wonder what could have happened, of course it wasn't a mere accident but had to be something more than that and it was. Nakano has started seeing Tamura's husband in the present day and had been pressing him a bit about how Tamura died, it wasn't easy for her but eventually right at this episode's final minute he revealed how she died.... by suicide as she jumped off the balcony of their apartment! This is hard for Nakano to understand as Tamura seemed to enjoy living her life, it had to be something else and this is what Tamura's husband thinks too, could she have been murdered and had it covered up to look like a suicide? Partial answer to that comes in the next episode which is right below this one, also this is exactly the halfway point to this series, shame it's only 6 episodes but like I've said these shorter dramas have no filler and move right along which keeps them fresh and interesting, this one is a prime example of that.
