"Girl Gun Lady" drama: Episode six of ten recap

Air Dates: April 7th until June 9, 2021 on MBS at 1:00 am, total of ten episodes
Subs are done by Bandai and the shows can be found at their YT channel

Main Cast: The actual recaps should be easy enough to do and not all that long though the first one often is to set up the story and introduce most characters. The hard part will be doing this top section with the characters as there's so many and will probably be tweaking this in every post. Sei by far has the biggest role and we do see much of her team too. Many others we really haven't seen too much of yet so will  break things down by teams and keep editing the details as we go along. Each team has four members, the bottom character is the leader while the top three are students at the Minamoto high school. As you can see the team names go by the alphabet.... A, B, C, D and there may be more.

Team ALPHA TANGO

Sei Shiraishi as Koharu Tachibana.... Heroine of the show for lack of a better word. Koharu was an avid model builder who got out of the hobby but resumed it in the first episode. She made a figurine called Alice and the next thing Koharu knew she had been whisked away to a parallel world where her classmates were shooting guns at each other!

Momoka Ito as Natsuna Usui.... The school's track star and will be competing in the 800 meter Japan championship. But will she as Natsuna has only one live left(?).

Natsuki Deguchi as Akiho Inada.... Good friend of Natsuna's and loves science.

Yuno Ohara as Alice.... Commander of the team who lives in a parallel world as do the other commanders. Koharu first met Alice when she built a model that resembled her and think that's how all of the students became part of their team.

Team BRAVO TANGO

Manami Igashira as Chizuru Mizuno.... Killed for the third time in this episode which means she's been 'erased' in the real world.

Anna Ishii as Matsuko Kadaowaki.... In the third episode she replaced Mizuno as the fourth member of Team Bravo. At one time she was good friends with Koharu but they had a falling out two years ago. Matsuko is by far the toughest of the fighters and also the best at making models which means he guns are the most powerful.

Yuuka Suzuki as Rin Otake....

Yura Someno as Aoi Umebayashi....

Rio Teramoto as Bianca.... Team commander

 Team CHARLIE TANGO

Azusa Ohara as Ichika Ikushima....

Rina Kannami as Futaba Ikushima....

Hina as Mitsue Amemiya....

Momoka Ishida as Charlotte.... Team commander

 Team DELTA TANGO

Ai Mikami as Rei Kitamoto.... Very ruthless killer

Momoko Tanabe as Natsuki Higashino....

Utano Aoi as Kana Minami....

Sakura Ando as Daisy.... Team commander

Rest of the cast, twenty characters in all though won't be talking about them too often.

Aya Asahina as Mirei Hoshimiya.... Teacher for many of the students.

Masanari Wada as Kaoru Moriyama.... School's physician and is a model freak.

Gaku Hamada as the shop owner.... Owns the FFF shop where the girls purchase their models. He also has some ties to the games which are unknown at this point.

 Links to the previous recaps:

Would probably help to read those above recaps as I won't be talking too much of what's taken place, like this post they're not too long. Tried a different format in the above section with the fonts and coloring, thought it would make it easier to read and hope it worked. Another action packed and interesting show, going to be bummed out when the series ends. There's also been some mysteries added into the storyline and for the first time we ended on an intense cliffhanger.

Forgot to mention in the previous recap that the Alpha team with their win over Delta has now won a powerful Blast Girl Gun. Team Bravo has two and they got theirs courtesy of the unbeatable fighter Matsuko in the top screenshot. She was asking the school's physician Moriyama about a weapon named Girl Armor, does it exist and if so how can she get one? Moriyama skirted the questions but by the sound of it it seems like a uniform or shield that could protect you from being shot, sure there will be more about it coming up in future shows. The unnamed FFF shop owner is quite a mysterious man and what ties does he have to the Girl Gun battles? That's what the Alpha girls Koharu and Akiho were wondering about and decided to break into his store one night. He has a locked backroom and the rumor is there's evidence of his involvement with the game hidden there.

Akiho could always could turn into a thief(!) if her science dreams don't work out as she easily picked the lock of the FFF store. She was about to do the same to the backroom when popping up out of nowhere was the store's owner! He seems like a decent chap though quite an odd one, the girl's teacher Hoshimiya came down to the store to smooth things over, she did and left with her students who were now more curious than ever about that backroom. Above in the bottom screenshot is the third Alpha member Natsuna. She was disappointed her mates didn't invite her along to break into the store and was tired of getting special treatment. Her friends didn't want Natsuna to get into trouble as the National 800 Meter race was about to happen and she's the favorite to win it. Plus in the battles the girls and their team commander Alice go out of their way to protect Natsuna who has two deaths in the game, one more and she'll be 'erased' from real life.

Though there's just one battle a week we don't have to wait long for them and it's already Tuesday at midnight when they take place. As you can see in the top screenshot the Alpha leader Alice tells her team the object for this week is a survival one but we didn't learn too much about it as the Alpha girls had a different plan all lined up. They feel if they can escape the school grounds during the battle they'll be able to search the FFF store without the owner being there as only students and commanders are in this parallel world. Problem was the school was surrounded by an invisible forcefield, even their new powerful Blast Girl Gun couldn't penetrate the beams nor could they find a gap to slip through. Alice wasn't aware of her team's plan and at first tried to discourage them from escaping from the school but deep down does care about her team and has agreed to help.

Alice joined her Alpha team in battle as they were being fired upon, she's taking a huge risk as one death and Alice will be 'erased' from the game. She helped them fend off the brutal Bravo tam and for the second episode in a row the Plastic Mode weapon was used. It's a small model which is driven by Alice, it's created  by uniting the heart of a commander and one of her teammates, once again it was Koharu. Alice ordered her to fire the powerful weapon at the school's fence which is actually the forcefield, either a hole will be created or the gap in the fence will be revealed. And the gap was unhidden so the three Alpha girls dashed away with their destination the FFF store and to find out what's hidden in it's backroom. But as you can see above the other teams saw that gap too and were in pursuit of the Alpha team as Bravo, Charlie and Delta seem united in their quest to destroy them.

The overall point totals haven't been revealed but have the impression that Alpha is in first place but probably not by much over Bravo since they acquired the best fighter Matsuko. The plans to investigate the FFF shop had to be put on hold as the most pressing matter for Alpha is staying alive! The other three teams are hot on their trail, they were firing like there's no tomorrow and Akiho was hit in the leg. Not a life threatening injury but she can't move so well and seems like their plans are up in smoke. However Natsuna had her own plan, she's by far the most athletic and fastest of the students so she'll be the decoy for the other teams to chase her while Koharu and Akiho head to the FFF shop.

Of course neither was happy with the plan but at that point there were no alternatives, the other two were naturally so worried about Natsuna who had only one life left. Her being a decoy worked as Koharu and Akiho were able to flee the abandoned warehouse the trio were hiding out in, Natsuna stayed behind which may turn out to be the biggest mistake of the series. Team Delta were soon in the warehouse and she was shot by their most ruthless member Rei. This is the fourth episode in a row she's been shot but Natsuna must have nine lives as she's still kicking. But the injury did slow her down and it's a miracle she survived though Rei isn't a great shot. In a nice twist Natsuna was able to get behind Rei and was about to shoot her but to her dismay Natsuna's gun was out of ammo!!!! The two battled hand to hand, Natsuna couldn't keep that up with her injury so attempted to flee. As you can sadly see above Rei didn't miss all of the time and hit Natsuna once again as she moved in for the final shot.

In the distance Koharu and Akiho heard that shot, to them it seemed Natsuna had finally met her too early demise but we didn't see the outcome in this show. It being a drama wouldn't shock me at all if Natsuna somehow was able to escape and kill Rei! The two Alpha members reached the empty FFF shop with less than a minute to go in the show. They entered that forbidden back room which was much bigger than you'd think and to their amazement what should be in that room but all of the previous Girl Gun members who had been 'erased' from the Earth! Them staring at all of those corpses(?) ended this episode and what an exciting final five minutes it was. Two cliffhangers we have going into the next show which I'm about to watch and how I wish this was longer than ten episodes.
