Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Rena Takeda... Bae Suzy... Nogizaka46!....Risa Watanabe.... Nanase Nishino!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Also these days(mid-2017) have many posts for Korean actresses, dramas and films that are worth checking out as over the years have become a much bigger fan of Korean dramas versus the ones from Japan.

Few tidbits....
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

The new blog is up and running, there you will find 100% of the posts dedicated to actresses, dramas and films.

June 11th.... the new blog is going well but it is much more work so unsure if I want to keep two going. For now will but am going to bring some of those actress posts over here as I know many have missed out on some faves. Actually just may end up transferring all of them over as I'm seriously leaning to going back to one blog, tried having others at one in the past which also proved to take up a lot more time than I expected.

Erika Toda in Miracle Zoo 2010

From 2010 came the 4th installment of this popular TV movie, Miralce Zoo, the other films came out in 2006, 2007 and 2008. An enjoyable watch though a bit thin on the plot which really just focuses on a group of Zoo keepers working in Hokkaido, same scenario for all the films, the group has to overcome certain obstacles such as funding and feuding between them, plus there will always be at least one very sick animal who ends up dying, thus bringing the group closer each time it happens. Mainly enjoyable for Erika, though everything she's in is worth watching, not a high recommendation but it's watchable, more geared for family viewing.

Year: 2010 Running Time: 94 minutes
Cast: Yamaguchi Tomomitsu, Toda Erika, Koide Keisuke, Mizusawa Erena, Yoshida Eisaku, Ito Shiro, Tsugawa Masahiko

Erika Toda SPEC screenshots episode 6

Finally finished up the SPEC/Keizoku 2 drama which aired from October to December of last year for a total of 10 episodes. Already gave a quick synopsis of the series some pages back, here's the link:

For the final 5 episodes the Unsolved Cases Department worked less on those kind of cases as they were concerned, especially Erika's character Toma, of finding a teen named Ninomae who had extraordinary SPEC powers. The SPEC division was disbanded and everyone fired but were quickly hired back being they were the only ones who could probably solve the case and also were the only ones who would be willing to put everything on the line to find Nonomae. Rather not give away too much as this is one drama that needs to be seen, perhaps the best from 2010, plus Erika just seems to get better with every series she does, her best role to date was in this. Here are some Erika shots from episode 6 here plus the next 4 posts have shots from the remaining episodes and here is the cast list again for the key characters.

Toda Erika as Toma Saya

Kase Ryo as Sebumi Takeru

Fukuda Saki as Shimura Misuzu
