Of course every Mai post is a happy occasion but as the heading says this one is only a slightly happy one. That's because there's been such a shortage of Mai pics for the past month or in all honesty most of this year. Doubt if any Idol has appeared in as many mags, been at events, done CM's and many other things as Mai has the past five years. Can understand slowing down a bit but not to this extent as she hasn't appeared at a regular event since January plus has only been in one mag spread the past two months.
There's so few new things really considered not doing this post but thought to myself 'This may be the last time we celebrate Mai's birthday as a Nogi member'. Think I said that a year ago and truly thought she would have graduated by now, have a feeling there were too many first generation departures it made her wait a bit. My second prediction for her leaving Nogi will be next February during their birthday concerts so let's hope she goes out with a bang such as a followup to her "Passport" photobook and that came out over thirty months ago!!!!
Back of U.S. bills has 'In God We Trust', in Japan do their bills say 'In Mai We Trust'?! This will mainly be a greatest hits' post but there's nothing wrong with having those on occasion and know most people just love to stare in amazement as Mai pics. Know I still do and that's after viewing them too many thousands of times to count. She does have a major role in a film coming out next year titled "Stolen Identity II", more info when it comes out. Just a handful of new pics such as these

The next post for Mai will probably be coming up in less than three weeks as she'll be appearing at the September 7th 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show. She always dresses quite classy at them, it's one of their bigger shows so hoping she'll be making 2-3 strolls on the catwalk.
Bet Mai's appeared at 25 or more TGC shows. As mentioned there's no new mag spreads so how about a pair of oldies from 2015? Sure most have forgotten these by now so an encore view is a good idea plus many new fans may have missed these sets. First off is an historic spread as it's from volume one of Brody and it seems Nogi members appear in that mag every month.
Think Mai has retired from doing gravure spreads, since the "Passport" PB came out she's only done two of them with one of them being a mini photobook for BLT Graph. Speaking of them she graces the cover of volume three of the mag which came out in October 2015.
I can live without gravure spreads but just wish there were more of any kind of pics. Will end off with that 'greatest hits' collection that was mentioned at the top, I admit taking Mai for granted too often but in all honesty there's only a small handful in the history of Idols who are hotter or more attractive than she is. After the pics check out a video from Big Comic Spirits from a photo shoot that took place a year ago, have posted it before but it's truly one of Mai's best if not best videos.
