Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida....if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the rightplace(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Akari Suda: Sigh, I give up trying not to have posts for her.... once again....
August will definitely not go down as one of my best blogging months though on the bright side it means September can only be better.... as long as my health also becomes a bit better! Next Saturday there will be one of those huge 'Tokyo Girls Collection' shows and so many of my faves will be appearing at it. Plus there's two more of those shows coming up the five weeks after that and I've always noticed the Autumn period from September until late November is the busiest stretch of the year so hope that trend continues.
For so many years it was very difficult to do posts for Akari but how times have changed! Who would have thought that when in dire need of a post it would be her I had to turn to and that's also a trend which I hope continues. Coming into today the leader for 2023 posts had eighteen, then there was a five way tie for second as that's how many had a dozen posts. Akari was one of them so she's now moved into second place for the amount of posts for this year and will admit the last few months there's no one I 've worked harder at having posts for. Think Akari is also gaining some new fans here but it's just taken a while. Last year she had nine posts with most getting between 5-600 views, most popular posts get over a thousand. But was just checking those posts and almost all have gone over 700 views so nice to see you readers viewing her older posts which of course all get a grade of A+++!!!!
This will be like most of her posts where there's some golden oldies sprinkled in with some new things and the older things for today had never been in a post before. Below are two promo screenshots as in some good news Akari will be joining the cast of the "Around 1/4" drama. That's been airing for five weeks, episode six is tomorrow and she'll be joining the drama in it's seventh episode playing the character of Emi so expect to see some screenshots in future posts, don't think it's being subbed.
Now on to some of those golden oldies and will begin off with some Akari SKE cards, still have a lot of these ancient ones but my supply is starting to dwindle. These are from 2011/12 with the first four being for SKE's sixth single "Pareo wa Emerald" which was their first #1 single.
Here's even more prehistoric SKE pics which are from July 2011 and at the time Akari was three months shy of turning twenty in age, at the end of October she'll be celebrating her 32nd birthday. Wish there were more solo pics but it was a group spread for WPB-Net #135 which was such an excellent series and sadly is no longer is in existence.
Do have a few more older spreads though most are too small, will hold on to those for future posts as the supply of them isn't endless. Seems once 95% of J-Pop Idols graduate from their group they quickly fade into obscurity but that hasn't been the case with Akari who has been so busy since leaving SKE ten months ago. Akari hails from Nagoya/Aichi and she does a lot of things to promote the area where she still lives. On August 15th she was at a mini event to promote a 'Ukiyo-e' exhibit at the Kanayama Museum, that 'Ukiyo-e' is a very old Japanese art form which does look interesting in these pics. Shame there was no video for the event which seems odd to me. But after the pics do have one from an August 9th event which wasn't available for her last post, the event was to promote public baths and saunas in the region and she is such a fan of those.
Just like always will end off a Akari post with many new pics from her IG page. These are from the past two weeks and as I've said before her IG pics are just so tremendous in my eyes, especially the top few. The bottom ones are from an event held today at the Yokohama Arena called Jam Expo 2023 which also takes place tomorrow. It's actually concerts featuring up and coming Idol groups and Akari is the Ambassador for the Expo. Will skip having a second video and hope there's one for that Expo coming out which would be in her next post.
