The second episode wasn't a bad watch but there really was a huge drop off compared to the first show, especially in the ratings. The main plot in this drama is about a serial killer, no killing in the second show but there may have been two in this episode, then again that's up in the air as there also could have been just one or perhaps zero killings.
Above are most of the major characters, we finally saw much more of Tsukimoto but he may have been killed off towards the end. No promotions yet for the team of Shinobu and Yuki as they're still off doing their field work, the pair are still seeing other outside of work but did have their first big spat in episode two, that didn't last long though as the pair is back together though still no date has been set for a wedding.
Shinobu still is working towards trying to prove that Kara is involved in the serial killings, he even thinks she may be the killer. The problem he has though is evidence, he's able to link her with most of the victims and Doctor Tsukinoto but still doesn't have any evidence that would hold up, even his superiors feel as though he's barking up the wrong tree.
Another addition to the drama was that Shinobu was assigned to work on a potential prostitution ring that may be using underage females. Shinobu goes undercover and hire two women for a 'special night' though he is unable to go through with what he had paid for. However Shinobu did find out a few key facts regarding the ring, the main one being that Tsukimoto is involved in it and all the call girls also have had plastic surgery done by him.
Off course he denies it when confronted by Shinobu and Yuki though he is getting worried that the police are getting a bit too close for comfort. One other thing that came out has to do with one of Shinobu's mates on the force who is named Hiyama. We did have suspicions that he wasn't a person to be trusted which he proved to us in this show that we were right. Shinobu needed a watch for his assignment, Hiyama loaned him one but this there was more to the watch than Shinobu thought. The watch had a microphone in it so that Hiyama was able to listen to him while he was at his prostitution assignment, Hiyama is out to wreck the case and to prevent Shinobu and perhaps Yuki of getting the promotions their immediate supervisor is trying to get for them.
Shinobu had gathered enough evidence for the prostitution case to move forward, the chief had approved of them making a raid on the Full Moon club which was their operations headquarters. However Hiyama also sabotaged the raid and was able to talk the chief out of aborting the case. So far Shinobu has no idea of the things that Hiyama was doing to them, would think all these backhanded things will be coming out soon.
The finale of the episode was quite good as Kara appears to be back to her killing ways. She was able to get an underage girl to join Tsukimoto's prostitution ring, he also really likes to have sex with very young girls like that. However Kara had used that girl to set up Tsukimoto as she was able to tie him up and inject him with a drug that killed him or at least we think he may be dead.
Kara had been seen though by another of the girls working at the club, she was able to corner the girl and inject her too with the drug. It appears as though that girl had died too but right at the very end of the show Shinobu and Yuki learned that the girl is still alive and are on their way to talk with her, that's how the show ends. Kara though had dragged the girl to Tsukimoto's bed, she got rid of his body to where we don't know yet but now that leaves us wondering is he still alive?
Because of his disappearance Tsukimoto is the #1 suspect in the girl's attempted killing but if the girl can talk then it appears as though Kara will soon be the #1 suspect. Shinobu had seen Kara and Tsukimoto together in the second episode though they had denied it, he feels that the two of them are working as a team but cannot prove it. Shinobu was able to get hold of Tsukimoto's medical records for his clients, shortly before that though Kara had broken into Tsukimoto's office and destroyed all her records. So far nothing for Shinobu is working out, he's just so close to proving so many things but just can't get the right evidence or his efforts are thwarted by Hiyama.
Much better episode as this new addition to the plot really injected some energy to the show, it also has left us with so many questions that will have to be answered. Don't know what direction this show will take but right now it does have the potential to turn out to be a very solid series, hope the direction it takes proves to be the right one.
Was a bit later this time around with a recap, the drama airs on Tuesday nights so hopefully will have the fourth episode done for the weekend. Took quite a few screenshots for this latest episode which you can view in the next post, so much happened really need to take a huge amount.
