Like the previous post wrote this up on Thursday as I was taking a couple of days off but didn't want to go two days without a post. Not sure what my plans will be for the rest of the holiday weekend but if there is a day without a post it'll be tomorrow though that would be today in Japan. This isn't a massive post but then again have started to write this up with no plans on what will be in it but there's been a slowdown for Akari posts this year and want to see her end the '2026 Nao Year' on a strong note. Don't think Akari π will make it a hat trick this year for being my #1 Queen of the year though there's still three months before the countdown begins and anything could happen.
It's hard to say it's been a 'slow year' for Akari as she's had a dozen posts in nine months but in a way she hasn't been as busy as she was in 2025. Last year she pulled away from the pack early and was easily my #1 favorite for the year. As I just said Akari does have a chance again to pull a rabbit out of her hat and could be number one, I try not to be biased when doing lists but the current woman at number one is a gal I'd like to see be my Queen for the year. Akari will still be in my top five, the last four years her positions have been six, one, two and one again which is a streak that may never be topped! What we haven't seen enough of from Akari this year are appearing at events, having magazine spreads or do any modeling though she does seem to always be busy. On Halloween Akari will be hitting the age of 35 but she makes that an un-ghoulish day, I try not to think about it but wonder how long Akari will keep her pace up(?) and also the years are flying by in case she wants to settle down. Which is becoming less common these days for women I post about, so many of the them here are 30+ in age and there's been so few favorites of mine and you readers who have gotten hitched the last two years.
I had planned in starting the third 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list at the beginning of August, with a post being done every three days my all time favorite would have been crowned at the end of this month. For a long time
Akari was the woman who would have been my number one but she got passed about a year ago but has a solid lock on second place. Think next Spring(March?) is when I'll do the list so that does give
Akari π time to make another run at being my number one, in a way it's almost a tie between my top two but I would never have a tie on a list and never have had one to date. In a slight oddity the birthdays for my top two are only eight days apart though not in the same year, we've never seen a photo of them together and it may never happen....
There's not a lot of new photos for today but the ones that
Akari has posted recently at her IG page are among her best ones ever and those will be towards the end of the post. But do have a few older things that are new for here plus seeing as how
Akari has been so unpopular with you viewers bet the encore photos for today are ones you've never seen. Usually have monthly cards from an ex-Idol's group but with
Akari have used up most of her monthly cards but there still others that had never been posted. Such as these SKE ones from 2012-15 which never fit into one of their regular categories which are cards for a month, single, tour or holiday. But these looked too good not to have here such as those first two and there's a reason
sizzling was used in the title....
Let's go back to prehistoric times once again for this magazine spread that's a dozen years old! It features
Akari as the cover girl for the September 23, 2014 issue of
Young Champion and that had to be one of her first ever solo covers. This spread makes me feel old as I posted it way back in 2014 and think there's only two other women who I did the occasional post for back then who still have them these days, like
Akari they've had more posts
after they left their J-Pop groups.
In February 2025
Akari released her second regular photobook "Pluie" and the sales were decent considering she is an ex-Idol plus a slightly older one. The best thing about the book was the 19 minute DVD that came with it, in such a shocker it's only the second video from an
Akari photo shoot. Sadly the video is no longer on YT but have posted over a hundred different screenshots from the close to perfect video and here's an encore viewing of some of them.... whewwww!!!!
Whew again, it's still so hard believe Akari never had a video from any of her gravure photos shoots until May 2024 and by then she had at least fifty magazine spreads plus a photobook. Speaking of books Akari could have one with her best IG photos but she's had so many thousands of fabulous ones how do you whittle it down to about 125? You can't and this next batch features some of her best ones ever which she's posted at her IG page the last three weeks. Some are from the ongoing J-Expo which is for up and coming J-Pop acts, it's being held in Yokohama. Akari has been a host for the past three years, all of the photos are so terrific but my favorites are the top two. However the bottom ones are certainly fantastic and it was of Akari out on the town with her gal mates three Saturdays ago, she's not a heavy party gal but does love the spirits!

Akari has seen a decent increase in how many views her posts get, back in 2022 they averaged about 280 views per post but the ones I do these days often get between 450-500 which is somewhat respectable. No new videos so will skip having any but there plenty of cold shower inducing photos to gape at.... know I'll be doing that!!!!
