The wait is finally over, thanks if you've been waiting patiently for this book and if that was the case it was worth! For two months have been gushing about how perfect this photobook is and won't try to do too much of that for this post and let the pics to the talking! But as I've said a few times once I saw the promo pics for this book knew there was no way I was not going to get the book, as terrific as those advance pics were the book was somehow better! Which doesn't happen as most advance pics are often the best from a book, have always wondered if that could affect sales? I'm not a rash person that jumps to conclusions that easily but will confess right after viewing a few pages knew this would be in the running to be my #1 photobook of all time, that's how stupendous it is and in all honesty it's close to being perfect. Hope that's the end of my gushing and this is truly close to being perfect though my editing did help out a bit, why is just below. This book was released on April 22nd and always wait three months before posting a J-Pop Idol photobook. Sometimes even longer which was the case for this one as it's been almost four months since it was released.
The one minor drawback was the format of most pages, easily over half of them. Which is the actual photo only took up about 75/80% of the page with the other % being white. So what I did was to crop off the white if it was on just one side of a page, those above two are examples of that. To me the photos look so much better because of the editing, some books also have many of those kinds of pages and then again some books have almost zero of them. Don't know why that is but another thing about this book is its size which is huge. Did omit a few pages but none that featured any gravure photos, mainly ones that had tourists or just landmarks in them. Even so there's a total of 178 pages so this could be the largest post I've ever done, in the past used to break such a large book up into 2-3 posts.
What I will also do which has been promised is the first ever list for my top Nogi photobooks. This book could easily become my #1 so want to see if my enthusiasm for it is as high in two months so how about October for that list? Nagi traveled to Rome and the area for the book's photo shoot, know a few other J-Pop Idols have gone there and an older Nogi member had a book shot in Corsica. Books don't sell at the level they once did, very rarely do Idol books sell over 100,000 copies these days. In it's first week out Nagi's book sold 92,461 copies and some thought the total would be higher, when you see the photos you'd have to agree! But the photobook is like Nagi and had some legs(!) as it remained in the top ten for sales nine more weeks to make it to ten. After dropping off the charts in early July last week the book made an reappearance in the seventh spot so it's been in the top ten for sales eleven weeks with sales around 122,000 copies. But that total doesn't include the weeks it wasn't in the charts nor overseas sales or what was sold at Nogi concerts so the total could be close to 150,000 copies sold. The one problem with this book which isn't a bad one is how does Nagi top this set of close to perfect photos?! It does seem almost impossible to do and have you noticed in the past when a Nogi member released such a tremendous book they often don't follow it up with another one? Whew, I'm done blabbering and gushing so it's on to the huge book and no need to tell you to enjoy it.... don't know how anyone couldn't! One other beef is that of course there's no video or DVD from the photo shoot, what a seller that would have been! Unlike other groups Nogi's members don't have books come out too close together so we wouldn't see Nagi's second for at least two years but as mentioned how can she or anyone else ever top this photobook?!

This is such a good photobook and Nagi is one of the hottest in Nogi right now, if not the hottest. Will you also be posting Tsutsui's photobook?
