Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

SKE48: A little bit of this and that for.... Sarina Souda!!!!

These days there's a definite resemblance to Misa Eto, if you can be compared to her you're
oki doki in my book. Sarina has been an SKE member for almost five years now but it's just been in the last few months we've been seeing much more of her. SKE now has over sixty members and guess that means a few are sadly forgotten about but luckily for us that's no longer the case for Sarina. After this post are the scans for her "Urabanashi" photobook which inspired this post.

Sarina turned 25 in January but there's few other SKE members that are older. That's a key reason I've remained an SKE fan as they seem to be one of the older J-Pop groups, doesn't seem as though they have as many key graduations. There's a few other members of the group who have never had a post and think I'll do some for those forgotten gals who deserve a moment in the spotlight. Sarina has an Ameba blog and these are some recent pics, for some reason really like the fifth one.

Sarina has been in so few spreads over the years and until lately only one had one solo set. These first two have already been posted in a group mag post but in case you missed them they do merit an encore. Both of these fine sets are promoting Sarina's new PB and both sadly have only four pics. First batch is from the February 6th issue of Spa! while the others are from the February 20th Flash, the first pic from that spread really resembles Misamisa.

Another pair of Sarina mag spreads which are older. This first one isn't too ancient as it's from Young Gangan #16 from August of last year, three pics for that set. The other one is quite old and it's Sarina's only other solo spread which is from the June 2015 edition of EX-Taishu.

This last set of Sarina pics are the ones that really resemble Misamisa, maybe I'll do a comparison post in the future. On February 9th there was a fan meeting session for the PB which was released two days before, the event took place at the Fukuya bookstore in Shinjuku. On the 8th there was also an event for the book in Nagoya but these pics are just from the Tokyo session.
No good video of it but following the pics do have a short but fun one of Sarina throwing out the first pitch at a Seibu Lions game from September 2016. She's from Saitama which is where the team plays, rare for a member of SKE not to be from the Nagoya area.

SKE48: Sarina Souda- "Urabanashi" photobook scans

As I said a few days ago 2018 is shaping up to be the year for photobooks and not just for Idols. No doubt Nogi has been the biggest reason for all of the books, hoping a few faves of mine who have never had one will be joining the 'book club'. Sarina is one of the older SKE members as she turned 25 in January, she didn't join the group until she was twenty which is something that doesn't happen often. Kind of glad to see someone like Sarina have a PB but it's kind of surprising she had the opportunity to have one over some other long term members.

The last few years the photobooks from the '48' family have been solid but not nearly as good as the ones from 2010-14. Their mag spreads usually get a grade of A+ but the books seem to be much tamer than the pics from mags which is kind of odd. To me Hello Project books are the best by far, the ones from Nogi the past year have also been tremendous.
Sales for Sarina's "Urabanashi" PB have been so-so, it was released on February 7th and in it's first week it was fourth on the Oricon charts. Copies sold though were just 2,245, after that it dropped off the charts. This PB is good but could have been much better, first half of the pics are a tad too conservative though the second half pics are quite terrific. Lately a '46' or '48' member gets a PB when they're going to graduate, haven't heard any news of Sarina leaving and there's no reason to as the past year she's become much more popular. Unlike other Idols who travel overseas this PB was taken in SKE's hometown of Nagoya.
