Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Yui Kobayashi... Miku Tanaka... Nagi Inoue....Maria Makino.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mao Inoue: December 2013 news and mag scans

Not all that much new with Mao but before what little there is becomes old figured they should be posted. Tokkan from the Summer of 2012 was her last drama, she does have the lead role in the 2015 Taiga series Hana Moyu but that'll be a stretch of 2 1/2 years without a drama though she's had a handful of movies that have come out. Mao's next film is "Eien no Zero", that's being released on December 28th, have some pics here of Mao promoting it, first are some from an interview this week and the others were from a special screening of the film on December 21st.

Actually this spread here is a bit old, this is from the October issue of Woman.

And sadly there's just the two Mao mag spreads, this is from volume 4 of TV Colors.

Mao Inoue: December 2013 news #1

Called it #1 as there should be a few more promo events for Mao as her next movie Eien no Zero is coming out on December 21st. These first pics of Mao are from a promo event last Friday for the film.

Plus Mao has been chosen as the lead in the 54th NHK Taiga drama Hana Moyu which translates over to "Flower Burns". Drama doesn't start until January 2015 but those series are about 50 episodes so it takes a long time to film them, plus there's so many other characters in the show. I've never watched one because at around 50 episodes they're just too long and they're almost an hour each, not like the morning dramas which are easier to take at 15 minutes a show. Here's Mao looking really terrific Tuesday at a press conference for the drama, most of the filming takes place in Yamaguchi Prefecture she may be absent for a long time when they're filming.

Mao Inoue: Eien no Zero movie press conference and one mag scan

For a while seemed Mao disappeared off the face of the earth, haven't heard anything from her in many, many months but have two small tidbits for her fans, starting off with this too small of a mag spread, too small because she looks terrific in it, from the new issue of Gina which is #13.

Also Mao will be in a movie coming out this December called Eien no Zero, she plays a writer in the film and along with her brother try to find out the circumstances behind their grandfather's death in WW 2, he was a Kamikaze pilot but his death and why he chose to be a pilot left a lot of unanswered questions. Here she is today at a press conference for the film and after these pics there's a mini trailer which has been released for you to watch.
