Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: 'Tokyo international Film Festival' pics/video and slightly more....

Still working on the recaps for the "Kakegurui" drama though it'll probably take me a week to finish them as I still have three episodes to view along with five posts to write up. So this may be the last post until I finish them unless something huge happens to pop up which could happen on Tuesday.
Mayu is so much more popular than I would have thought around here, she had one 2017 post which ended up being the most viewed one of the year. Have done at least five posts for Mayu this year but it's been a bit of a quiet 2018 for her compared to previous years. She's been in a few films but has only appeared in one web drama which is easy to find but sadly will never be subbed.

Most of this post will be devoted to Mayu's appearance at this year's 'Tokyo International Film Festival' though do have two other items. She's been a model for the Rope Picnic site for a few years now, never enough pics for them but these are new for their Autumn collection.

Fine looking Mayu pics here are from an interview that came out last week for the Cinra site. But they're actually not brand new pics as Mayu did the interview with them on September 25th and it took place after her huge news announcement for this year's TIFF.

On that September 25th date Mayu was announced as the main ambassador for this year's TIFF which is now in it's 31st year. Quite an honor for her and at this year's show her "Shoplifters" film will be shown even though it came out in June, last year her "Katte ni Furuetero" film was shown. The opening ceremony took place at the EX-Theater in Roppogni Hills, Tokyo on October 25th. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of Mayu at the festival as she looked so magnificent at the opening day ceremonies. Plenty of terrific pics here from the ceremony plus after them is a video of it.
