At one time AKB photobooks sold quite well as many of them eclipsed the 100 K mark. However that was from the period from 2010-14 and since then the sales are more in the 10-20,000 copies sold range which is around what this PB sold. Guess the current AKB members aren't nearly as popular as the ones from their 'classic era' but the singles still sell well over a million copies.
This is also a late b-day celebration as Rena turned 21 on the tenth. Did two posts for Rena back in March and both were extremely popular but with my laptop on the fritz haven't been able to do nearly as many posts as I'd like though that will be changing this weekend.
Rena is a popular member or perhaps I should say was as she dropped fifteen positions in the last Senbatsu election finishing in the 36th spot, there's no good reason for her dropping like that. This PB, which is her first one, was released on March 28th and did spend a few weeks in the top ten for sales but as mentioned above AKB books these days only sell a fraction of what they once did. As you can see the pics for the book were shot in London, can't think of who it was but some other Idol has a photobook this year that also was shot in the city. There's a total of 110 pics in this fine book and Rena does look quite alluring in so many pics, will try to work on another post for her soon.
