Masami Nagasawa: Toshi Densetsu no Onna 2 episode 4 recap

Main Cast:

Masami Nagasawa as Tsukiko Otonashi
Junpei Mizobata as Hirota Katsuura
Naoto Takenaka as Icho Tannai
Hiroyuki Hirayama as Toshiya Shibayama
Sara Takatsuki as Ayano Hamanaka
Masato Ibu as Shigharu Take
Narumi Akizuki as Miyako Otonashi

Not really an 'urban legend' for Tsukiko and her team to solve this time but then again her searching for the legends never seem to work out for her, this was an okay episode but like the ones more when she is chasing her legends even if her hunt for them is futile.
Tsukiko and the team is assigned to a murder case, the reason they were assigned to it is that the victim who was a lawyer appeared to holding a 500 yen note from an armored car robbery that happened in 1968. At the time it was the biggest heist of it's kind and the total take from  it was almost 300 million yen, Tsukiko knew everything about the case and she thinks she's going to solve the mystery as the case still remains unsolved.

Shortly after a client of the slain lawyer has passed away from natural causes but Tsukiko through some investigating has figured out the person who just died is the culprit or mastermind behind the robbery. The main suspects in the murder were the daughters of the recently deceased man and as it turns out Tsukiko did get that part right as one of the daughters did kill the lawyer, she was quite worried about the will and thought someone did not deserve to be in it. So the murder is solved so did Tsukiko also solve the mystery of the 300 million yen robbery from 1968?

I was a little confused on this part, appears the newly deceased man did do the robbery but Tsukiko had no hard evidence to prove that. Also it appeared as though he had some help in the robbery with the mother of his granddaughter but all these facts were never quite explained easily, maybe I just missed something. As the show ends the granddaughter is helped by the police in loading 300 million yen(?) into her vehicle, not sure why but Tsukiko had also deduced that somehow the police were also covering up many of the clues are perhaps all of the money from the heist.
Like I said the ending was just a bit confusing to me, just wasn't sure exactly if she did solve the crime from 1968 and why the granddaughter was getting all the money. That last part was explained a little bit in the show, she had said she was expecting a big windfall of money but why would the police give her the money from the heist then? Oh well, still was a solid episode except for my confusion at the end, perhaps you if you watched it you understood what happened, plenty of screenshots of Masami in the next 2 posts from this episode so perhaps you can figure out what I missed. And if you haven't started watching this show yet would recommend it, will probably be my #1 drama from this quarter.
