Erena Ono: Tank Top Fighter drama episodes 3 & 4 recap

Air Dates: April 25th to June 20th, 2013 on TBS/MBS at 12:58 am

Main Cast:

Erena Ono as Kai
Umika Kawashima as Riku
Yoko Mitsuya as lawyer Rei Inami
Aoi Nakamura as Kuu

Going to make this recap a bit shorter as the first review described mainly what was going on in this drama. Once again it's a two-parter, the sisters Kai and Riku are down to 80 million yen for what they owe in debt as their father supposedly stole 100 million besides being charged with murder.
The sisters are looking for a murderer who is nameless but may be using the name of Kanae. The main clue to finding her is a tattoo of a snake, problem the sisters have is the the two women they have targeted both have a tattoo. One other clue is that this Kanae may be working at a hostess club which is where Kai goes to investigate. She does find a woman there with a snake tattoo who claims she isn't Kanae, she helps out Kai so much that she's thrown her off the right track and instead goes to a different club looking for the culprit.

I admit that I got and still am a bit confused about who was who, seems that the original woman who Kai thought was Kanae was the real woman she was looking for. Not sure why Kai was thrown off so easily by her but luckily Riku was able to deduce that the real Kanae was the first hostess Kai met and her name was Kanon. So Kai ventures once again back to the first hostess club where she found that Kanon was not ehre but her fiancee was, the problem was that Kanon had murdered him! Took a lot more effort but eventually Kao did manage to corner Kanon, though Kai is one good fighter so wasn't Kanon and once again it looked like Kai had met her match. And once again out of nowhere her college friend Kuu had appeared and managed to help her a little bit. He didn't help too much but it was just enough for Kai to regain her senses and she eventually was able to subdue Kanon and to collect the bounty. The bounty on her was a bit higher so now the debt has whittled down to 50 million yen, halfway to paying off what their father was supposed to have stolen.

Once again the culprit was taken away by the 'police' and was tortured, now is when I realized that the lawyer Rei is not who she really says she is, not sure what her intentions are or who she's working for but the sisters are being used for some evil purpose of Rei's. Did mention I was a bit confused about the identities of the bounty they were hunting, still am to an extent but that didn't take anything away form the story, besides me though it also confused the sisters quite a bit as to who was who.
This drama ran for a total of 9 episodes, first 7 have been subbed so I'm going to stop the recaps here until the final 2 get subbed and then watch the last 5 shows in a row and then do some reviews for them. So far this series is been a really fun watch, but then again most of these real late night shows are, to date would give this a solid rating of a 8.5/10, would recommend it if you're looking for something different. Next post once again has a mega amount of screenshots from these two episodes which may help you see understand more what happened as this recap was a bit short but hopefully there were enough details to understand what happened in these episodes.
