Haruka Fukuhara: Few recent tidbits....

Bit of a small post but wanted to break the ice as this is Haruka's first one of the year. So out of the twenty faves who made my 2019 list eight haven't had a post so far this year though do hope to cut that number in half by the end of the month. Haruka finished eighth on my faves list and at the beginning of 2019 she's someone who I seldom thought of, mainly because of her age. But she's 22 now and can see her always ending up in the top ten for the yearly lists. She's part of that new wave of actresses who I like so much as too many of my long time fave actresses seem to be taking it too easy these days. A year ago had never seen a Haruka drama but just started my fourth one earlier today and I think she's a fabulous actress. Quite stunning too as I would place her in the #1 position on that top twenty list for having the most attractive face.

Title of the new Haruka drama I just started on is "Coffee and Vanilla", have all ten shows but only have the subs for the first two episodes. Lately it's been working out better having a paragraph or two about a drama instead of writing a lengthy recap up, will have another one for today. In the show Haruka's character is named Risa who has just moved to Tokyo to attend college.
But she's already over twenty so may have gone to school somewhere else at first. Risa seems to be from the sticks as she's very naive about the ways of life, especially when it comes to romance. The title of the show comes from the name of a cafe where Risa was at one day by herself. Another college student tried to pick her up and wouldn't take no for an answer. Out of nowhere arose a businessman named Hiroto who is a bit older, he had mentioned about being thirty in age but don't think he was serious.
To Risa he was the most charming man in the world and before you knew it the pair were dating. She was in seventh heaven as she never thought a man like Hiroto would ever go out with a woman like her. To make the story short near the end of the first episode he tried seducing Risa, thought something would interfere with the encounter but it didn't as after less dating for a week she went to bed with him which is how the first show ended. Episodes are just 24 minutes in length so hope to find subs for the entire series.

Haruka has been in two mini series the past two months plus has done a few guest spots on some dramas, what a busy gal she is as she also had the lead role in a film that came out in November. She has a third mini series that began two nights ago in TV-Tokyo called "Loose Scan" which appears to be an interesting show. Will do a hunt for it but odds are great it won't be subbed, these are interview pics from the show's site.

Even more Haruka pics to promote the drama with the Hustle Press site, as you can see the interview took place on the same day as she was dressed the same.

Seems as though Haruka's "Cheat" drama won't be subbed, just the first episode was done and then the team dropped it. That's a shame as I was really looking forward to it. However new subs have just been done for the "Kakegurui" movie that came out in May so will be doing a review of it soon, the other subs were just horrendous.

The first 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show of 2020 was held today and of course Haruka was in attendance. However not too many pics from it and have been searching everywhere, it took place in Shizuoka and it's not one of their bigger shows but she'll also be at their next one.

One last thing which wasn't in her last post is this mini spread from the December 10th edition of Weekly Ascii. No recent videos so will go back in time for Haruka's most viewed CM which came out in 2017 for Zenhoren.
