Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nanase Nishino: Once again hopefully the first of a deluge of posts....

Been doing a decent job at trying to have two or more posts a day but that's proving to be an impossible task the last week or so. There has been a slowdown on posts though with so many drama recaps you may not have noticed. But save for a day here or there have only been able to do one post with new happenings and what's not happening in Japan and Korea has finally affected me. That's also been the case for many of my other fave blogs or sites I like to visit, least here there's a much more range of variety of things I post about which does make this slowdown easier to manage but hate to say it but it's going to be a tougher struggle in the upcoming weeks.
But do try to find the bright side to things and there actually have been a couple. These one post a day have at least featured my more massive faves and perhaps it's because I try harder to do posts for them. Plus if you've noticed the posts are much larger as the majority of them have about a hundred pics or so in them. That's about twice what a regular post is so in reality do have as many pics but just not as many posts. One other thing is that viewership has increased this past month by about 25%. Sure some of that has to do with many being stuck at home and least the Internet is a good way to kill time. Also though seems this blog has much more variety than almost any one out there so perhaps new viewers have liked what they've seen recently and keep returning, thanks if you do.

Whew, usually save thoughts like that for my special Nao posts but haven't had one in a while, won't have any kind of new series starting until June. Now on to one of my massive faves that I mentioned, of course it's Nanase and have noticed since she left Nogi her posts here don't get as many views, wonder why that is? To me her posts have become better and huger, was curious about something which I checked on before starting this. Nanase's first post took place 78 months ago, didn't think there were Nogi posts in 2013. Since then she's averaged 4.9 posts a month though the majority of her pics were in group posts. But the last two years bet there's been about forty of these posts for Nanase, she's about to become the first person to hit 400 total posts and no one will ever catch her in total posts even though second place isn't that far behind. Used that heading in a February post for her, the deluge didn't happen but hope it does beginning this week.

As usual this will be another super duper Nanase post, though she hasn't been as busy as usual lately there still are over sixty new pics. With so many photobooks coming out and most being huge sellers wonder if we'll ever see another from Nanase? I truly hope so as all three of her previous books sold well over 100,000 copies, think one is close to 200 K. May 25th would be a good time for book #4 as on that date she'll be celebrating her 26th birthday. Think her last ten posts have included older Nogi cards which had never been seen here before. Do have a small batch of them today but am coming very close to the end of them.

Have heard the film industry is suffering a slowdown but it appears dramas aren't having any problems filming. 'Unsung Cinderella" is the title of Nanase's next drama which begins next Thursday which is April 9th. Sure it will be subbed and it's a series I'll recap as there's a few others in the cast who I like a lot. Here's a few promo pics for the drama, top four you saw in her last post while the other four are brand new.

Pics from an interview that took place this week with the Model Press site for the drama.

Also for the drama Nanase appeared in this small spread for the April 14th issue of Flash. The bottom two pics are from their March 3rd issue, they're so terrific thought an encore was needed.

Much better and bigger Nanase spread as she's the cover girl for the April 9th edition of Weekly Shonen, second time this year she's had the honor for the mag.

Can never have a post without brand new magnificent pics from the Non-no site.

More pics from Non-no which are from their April issue.

Of course there's no events being held in Japan so don't have any new pics of such happenings today. But do have some oldies which are from the September 6, 2017 'Tokyo Girls Collection' Autumn show. Did do a post for the show back then but and it's hard to believe but never posted these Nanase pics which are some of her finest ever, wow does she look so enticing!
What happened is that these pics were from her second stroll on the catwalk at the show, her post back then only had pics from her first stroll and missing fabulous pics like these has never happened to me. Oh well, least it worked out well as I was able to fill this post up a bit better. Following these pics is a brand new video promoting the upcoming drama. It's actually a fun one to watch as besides Nanase there's also another big fave of mine.
