Short promo video is at the top for this episode. Lot more Sentai fans out there versus regular drama fans as the first recap was much more popular than other drama posts as it's garnered about twice as many views as they usually do. These recaps tend to be a bit shorter, one reason is that an episode is only 23 minutes long. Another is that there's quite a bit of action in these shows, those action scenes easily take up a quarter of the show. Think for this episode it took up at least a third as we didn't see as much of the characters, especially the trio of Patrangers.

The top three are the the team of Lupinrangers, the bottom guy Kogure sets them up for their assignments though he was only on this show for about thirty seconds. The second trio of major characters are the Global Police team who can also transform into Patrangers. They were featured in this show but it was the characters in their costumes which are almost always stunt men, we didn't see their commander once but seeing how this series is fifty episodes it may happen a few more times. Will mention a few details of what happened in the first show though it may help to read that first.

At the conclusion of the first episode the Lupinrangers had defeated an arch nemesis of theirs who was Garatto, they also were able to retrieve another stolen item of the Lupin collection. But just as the team was about to put the finishing touches on the monster who is a Gangler member the trio from the Global Police arrived on the scene and announce the Lupinrangers are under arrest.
The Lupins weren't about to let that happen but shortly after the announcement the police were able to transform into a superhero team called Patrangers. Do to that the three used a relic from the Lupin collection which has left the Lupinrangers puzzled as they thought they had the only devices from the collection which could be used for fighting evil.
The Lupin collection was assembled by a French master thief over a century ago, he went by the name of Arsene Lupin. However the collection of stolen goods was taken by a space alien group calling themselves Ganglers who have used the devices to wreck havoc all over the world for many few decades now. The Lupin team was assembled to fight the monsters and to recapture the stolen goods, we'll learn why further on down the post.

Trying to arrest the Lupinrangers isn't going to be so easy as the Patrangers found out and the two teams squared off against each other. During their melee the Gangler Garatto manged to escape but he'll soon be getting justice thrown his way. The battle between the two reams was quite a long scene, seemed to me the fighting and action scenes were much longer than usual for these types of shows.
Both teams can also conjure up different weapons or other machinery, one of them are mini warplanes as the six fought against each other through the skyline of Tokyo. Lot of buildings and such were destroyed though didn't see any innocent bystanders get hurt, after a grueling battle the trio of Lupinrangers were able to subdue the Patrangers and flee with another piece of the Lupin collection which they took from Garatto. After that battle the Patrangers met up with the space alien once again, they did defeat him but he comes back to life later on.
The three Lupinranger members in their regular lives run a small French bistro, the names of the trio are Kairi, Toma and Umika. Back at their eatery the heroes had a mini spat about what to do next in their quest to find all of the Lupin collection, it got a bit heated and they split up to let their anger cool down. But in that cooling down period we did learn why the team was formed. A year ago the Gangler team had killed many Tokyo citizens by freezing them, it was a quick death as when the ice burst so didn't the lives of the innocent people.

All three of the Lupinrangers had lost a relative due to the freezing deaths but there may be  away to bring them back to life. They didn't know each other before the deaths but all were approached by Kogure who said he worked for a descendant of the thief Lupin. If the trio can recapture all of the stolen Lupin collection then the descendant will have great powers, with that the person will be able to revive the three dead relatives of the Lupinrangers.
So that's the goal and common bond between the three, once they got over their minor spat they realized their goal was much more important than anything else in their lives. So it's back to the task of collecting the relics from the Lupin collection though the one they obtained from the Garatto monster was the only new one they retrieved this episode. But as mentioned twice already the battle with Garatto hasn't been finished yet as he's returned to being his living evil self.

Both the Lupinrangers and Patrangers learn of Garatto's location and head there to face off against him. But once the two teams see each other the battle will be between the superheroes once again, one of these shows they may learn they're fighting for the same cause but we haven't learned yet why the Patrangers need to find the Lupin collection.
The battle between the two teams wasn't too long as the Lupinrangers were more concerned with bringing down Garatto and they have their aim set on the monster. Since coming back to life thanks to a fellow Gangler Garatto is much stronger, the Lupinrangers seem to have no answer to his immense strength. The team are in their fighting ships battling the now much more enormous monster when help from a strange source appears.

While the Patrangers were fighting the inept Gangler underlings on the ground the Lupinrangers were squaring off against Garatto in the air. That mysterious help was from a Lupin collection piece called Good Striker, he was part of the Patranger team but he told the Lupinrangers he's a free agent and can help anyone. That's what he did as Good Striker was able to increase the strength of the Lupinrangers and the team was finally able to slay Garatto, it was the third time he's been bested and wonder if he'll once again return.
So much of this episode was of action scenes and fighting, while I do like them wish we could have seen the characters out of their uniforms a bit more. The Patrangers are once again furious they couldn't capture the Lupinrangers but on the bright side they did admit it's good that Garatto has finally been beaten.
On to the final minute of the show which took place at the small French restaurant run by the Lupin team. With them is Good Striker who says he wants to remain with them a while to help the team out. In the final seconds of the show the front door to the bistro opens, who should be standing there but the trio of Global Police. Good Striker was quickly hidden away as the Lupinrangers were wondering have their secret identities been discovered?

We'll find that answer out in the next episode but my guess would be no as there's still so many shows to go. So far it's been a fun watch, recaps don't do Sentai shows much justice as there's so much action and not as much of a plot as normal dramas have but the plot in this one appears to be more interesting than other Sentai series.
Have done a few recaps here and there for these shows but have never done a complete review for a series, at fifty episodes it's easy to understand why. But this one is a show I hope to finish off, actually will watch the entire series but for once would like to recap every show. Will keep on doing one post a week so expect the next recap for the show about the same time next week.
