Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: 2019 Magazine scans #17 plus a tad more....

Guess it's going to be difficult to top yesterday's photobook post but will give it a bid. Speaking of books there's no news of any upcoming ones, most first generation members do have a PB so now it's a question of do some third generation gals get a book or do the others who have one get a second photobook? Personally would go for the second option as some of those books were so tremendous and were good sellers but realize you can't bury your fans with too many in a short period of time.
No new Mai pics for today and still haven't gotten around to doing a recap for all of her 2019 activities. She's had no solo posts yet has been my second fave member for a while but she usually does have a good amount of pics in group posts and was going to put them all together. It's actually been a busy stretch for my faves so had put her post(s) on the back burner but will be getting to it.
Nogi's next single will be coming out on September 4th and this Sunday the lineup will be announced on their 'Construction' show. Really doesn't matter to me who the center is as that's an overrated position but hope they decrease the amount of Senbatsu members as I think there were 23 for the "Sing Out!" single which is way too many. Problem is you have to demote a few gals which is also unfair and if that's the case why not finally give the Undergirls their own solo single? They did have an album which sold well and I think those gals are so much more fun, paid off for Keya when they gave their Hiragana members a chance.

Speaking of Undergirls going to start off with something special, not a current member but a graduate who was such a huge fave of mine. That's Chiharu who departed exactly a year ago and may be the only Nogi member to graduate from college as she did so from Meiji University in March. She used Nogi for the right reasons which was to pay for her schooling, she has something to fall back on which you can't say about other members except for the extremely popular ones.
After she graduated Chiharu started as an announcer for TV Asahi and looks to be a rising star for them, she's still just 22 in age. Her degree was in drama and literature but had also thought she was fluent in French. Chiharu was one of the more interesting gals to watch on the group's variety shows, don't watch them as much due to the fact her and too many others are no longer on them. She was also quite an attractive gal who deserved so many more mag spreads and for a long time was Nogi's tallest member with a height of 166 cm.

Will try to follow Chiharu in the future and what made me notice her again was an event that took place two days ago. It was for the 'Jim Beam Summer Festival' which she covered for TV Asahi. But also on hand was another announcer for the station who is Yukino Yamamoto and what a looker she is too, that's her in two pics. As I mentioned in the post below this one for some reason really find Japanese announcers so attractive so will try to have a post or two for her too.

Last group post had many pics from the premiere of Nogi's second documentary, think it opened on July 5th. Three days later there was an interview to promote the film for Model Press with a quintet of members and it's good to see that Kazumi has become much more active recently. She's always been such a fave of mine and is in my all time top five Nogi members list, there's been no rumors about her graduating but that's really going to be such a sad event for me when it happens.

There were a few solo pics of Minami above who has become one of my fave Nogi members. Have a few more new ones here from the With Online site, bottom two are with a rival of hers from Keya who surprisingly doesn't look that much shorter.

Now we're finally to the mag spreads and perhaps should have called this 'A little bit of this and that' post. This first set is one I honestly don't think was ever posted or at least I'm 98% sure it wasn't. The spread is from the June issue of BLT which features Karin who graduated on May 24th. Also graduating that day was one of my massive Nogi faves who is Yuuri and did do an excellent solo post for her a few days ago.

Ayane is a member who rarely had solo spreads but think she's had four or so already this year. She has the next set which is from the July edition of EX-Taishu.

Group spread here which is from the July 23rd issue of Flash. It features seven members who just had one page each and their names are on the pics.

For the past two years Asuka has won an award for being the Idol to appear on the most magazine covers. She better get moving if she wants to win that honor again as she's really slowed down on them this year but does have the cover for the final set which is from the July 25th Young Jump. Do like her quite a bit but wouldn't have her in my top ten for fave Nogi members. But bet Asuka may be the group's most popular member right now so kind of surprising we haven't heard a word on a second photobook for her as her first one sold a massive amount.
