Exactly one year ago, September 20th to be precise, is when I revived this old series that I began in 2018 but for some unknown(inane!) reason didn't continue on. Resurrecting this series has been one of the best decisions I've made in a long time, this now makes it 39 of these post in the year or almost 3.3 a month. Will try to hit forty of them before the month ends and am beginning this on the 15th so am keeping my fingers crossed it'll be complete by the 19th. When I do a lot of posts for a woman in a short amount of time can run out of things to say and guess that's become somewhat true with this series. Which has saved me so much time and have been able to work on other posts which have become better than ever. Drama posts were taking so long to write up and thought there had to be a better way. There has been as now I can review a drama or movie in three to four paragraphs and overall I think they're more impressive than a massive post for one drama episode, it was often two posts for a movie.
As time goes on have developed a format for these posts and see no reason to change that for now. What I've been doing is reviewing one season of an American TV series, on the odd occasion sometimes just a half. Then have been having three mini reviews of movies and have been making them from different countries, as of now have viewed a 1966 Italian horror flick and have no clue what the others are. However if I can view those other two and write up the reviews by the 18th then that will give me time to add in one more movie. But I wonder if that would make these posts too long, sure these mini reviews are easy to zip through for you readers so perhaps adding in one more will make things too long. Did say in the last post that October would be like last year and will try to just review horror movies and TV shows. But won't be holding any back until then as I have such a large amount in that genre to view that I've never seen and usually two of the three films reviewed will be ghoulish ones and often in B&W.
Mku's first post was done in October 2022, a month after her 21st birthday and since then no one has had more posts. Miku was my #1 Queen of the year in 2024 plus has been in the top ten three other times on the fave's list so of course I've really been missing her. But then again it's understandable if Miku was extremely burnt out as she was non stop busy for about a five year stretch for as many know she was a member of HKT. After leaving them at the end of 2023 she did appear in so many dramas and it was hard to keep up with all of Miku's gravure works so if she needed the time off it's easy to see why it happened but hasn't she been gone long enough? Though a return could be on the horizon as a week ago Miku did hold a birthday bash for her fan club and she's now getting almost too old to post about as Miku's age is now 25..... notice any gray hair yet?
In the last post for this series only had one section for a woman, often discuss at least one other besides the opening AWOL gal. For today think there will be two sections below for actresses, both are from America but do try to vary who I feature. Put the pedal to the metal and finished off a pair of movies after writing the above up, the trio of films for today will be from Italy, then Japan and the finale will be an American flick. I've been trying to review movies I had never seen before but that's meant I've been ignoring some of my all time favorites so for October aka Horror Month 😱will be looking at some of my long time favorites. The Japanese film for today is one I've seen twice before but the last time had to be a decade ago so when I watched it seemed like viewing it again for the first time and had forgotten 98% of what happened. Also in that last post for 'My Current Watches' mused about what's better, watching half a season of a TV series and then reviewing it or finish off an entire season before talking about it? Then deduced for shows that don't have an ongoing storyline I can talk about half a season but that can't be done as easily for a series where the episodes all connect. For if I posted about half a season of a complicated series then didn't talk about it again for a month you readers(and me!) would be in the dark. In that last post reviewed the first eleven episodes of season two of "Lois and Clark", it's no classic series but I've enjoyed it and will finish off season two somewhat soon.
A series such as "Grimm" is one where I can't do two reviews a season for as while there's no major ongoing storyline the stand alone stories do connect. So of course that means today's American series review will be for season two of "Grimm", it is a horror show so think for October will discuss the third season and this second did end on such a cliffhanger. This is my second time viewing the series, at the end of 2024 viewed the first two seasons and promptly forgot all about it! But in a wise decision in August said that the show needs to be viewed so started again from episode one, there's 22 in a season so a few days ago just finished show #44. I really have been enjoying this show which has gotten better as the episodes have gone on, you can see that the writers and producers were fans of the "X-Files" and "Supernatural" shows which is fine by me as those are my favorite two horror/mystery/suspense series. Season one of "Grimm" aired in 2011/12, season two 2012/13 and the show aired until 2017. So am hoping you will see here a mini recap of all six seasons and one reason I chose this series to purchase is that I knew none of the cast and try to stay away from series that have 'stars'. One other reason is because I knew zero about the show and I have some oddity about my boxset purchases as they tend to be of older shows I don't know much about. Let's get to the mini recap of the second season of "Grimm" which was set and filmed in Portland, Oregon, I have a limit of four paragraphs for the recaps and glad these intros aren't counted.
A lot of this show is based upon the Grimm brothers books and stories, they're from Germany and those known tales were written back in the early 1800's. The point being you don't have to know about those stories or anything else by the brothers to understand things, I know so little about them and for a change I haven't been confused at all.
Above is the link for what I wrote up about season one of "Grimm", if you're going to read this section highly recommend reading that above review first as you could be in the dark for many things. Above that link is the boxset I purchased which was kind of inexpensive considering it has 123 episodes plus special features. This series seems to have more deleted scenes as a bonus than any other show and they do help you get to know the characters and stories better, shame episodes are so shorter these days and there's no time for those scenes. One other thing above is the final picture which features the main characters but Meisner or Trubel isn't one, possibly for season three? The star of the show is in the bottom right hand corner plus some pictures below. His name is Nick Burkhardt who is played by David Guintoli, on the show he's a homicide detective on the Portland PD. Nick's long time partner is Hank Griffin whose name in real life is Russell Hornsby. A GRIMM is what Nick is and those are very rare in the world which is such a relief to a species called Wesen, it's a German word so pronounce it Vesen, a lot of this is discussed in the first post and probably better. Wesen are a species of monsters and some have been based upon the Grimm brother's stories. A GRIMM such as Nick is the only kind of human that can see a Wesen for what they truly are for those monsters are usually in human form, many of them are regular humans such as your neighbor!
By seeing these creatures a Grimm has a huge advantage as a Wesen at first can't tell a Grimm from a normal person, a Grimm doesn't have super powers though since becoming a Grimm Nick seems to be much stronger than he was before. It's hard to believe how many of these Wesen creatures there are, could devote a whole post to listing them. Most of the time they appear to be normal people, when they change to their Wesen form it's known as Woge and that process only takes a few seconds. These creatures don't look as scary as ones from other series such as "Supernatural" but there was an improvement over season one and they are much tougher for Nick and his growing army of cronies to beat. In season one Nick often had the help of Monroe who is a Blutbad Wesen, that's similar to a Werewolf. But Monroe(who has a beard) is a peaceful Wesen who will only Woge when it's a matter of life and death, he's been invaluable to Nick in both seasons. The pair now have a few others on their team to fight against the ever growing amount of monsters in Portland, it's been asked a few times why have so many Wesen moved to the city? Hank Griffin is Nick's partner and was told of Nick's abilities as as a Grimm in season two which needed to be done as Hank's life has often been on the line because of the monsters and he never doubted such a wild story! There's another Wesen helping out who is Rosalee Calvert(Bree Turner), she's a Fuchsbau which looks quite a bit like a Fox and that's the fourth to final picture. Rosalee is another peaceful Wesen who runs her dead brother's potion shop where the monsters often come in for spells, cures and other magical items, think later in the series she gets married to Monroe.
That makes four on the Wesen fighting team, there is a fifth who is Nick and Hank's superior at the Portland PD. That's Captain Sean Renard(Sasha Ruiz) who is a half Zauberbiest which is a Warlock Wesen and he's part of the elite European Royal Family. He finally had to come clean to Nick and the others on who he was as his estranged family may soon be waging an all out war to become rulers of the Earth and he is one strong Wesen. Renard is one of my favorite characters and so isn't Sgt. Drew Wu who is in the third to last photo. He's still unaware of any mysterious things such as Wesens and a Grimm but have a feeling Wu may become something other than a human sometime down the road. Have mentioned three kinds of Wesen which are a Blutbad, Fuchsbau and Zauberbiest but there are so many more and will list a few. There's a Balam that's very much like a Jaguar and also a Bauerschwein that's similar to a pig and is a Wesen who shies away from violence. So doesn't a Eisbiber and there are four who live in Portland that have become friends of Nick and his semi-girlfriend, this creature looks like a Beaver and is very timid. A creature that isn't timid in the least is a Coyotl and a pair of them may have been Nick's toughest opponents to date, that name is close to how a Coyote is spelled and that's what that creature is like. One last Wesen is a Gluehenvolk and that's been my favorite to monster to date, it has a blue glow to it and looks like an Alien from space, that was in the 19th episode of season two. Mentioned Nick's girlfriend whose name is Juliette(Bitsie Tulloch), I don't care for this character too much as she constantly whines and for most of this season had a rare form of amnesia, because of a Wesen spell, where she couldn't remember Nick. That storyline went on for too long but in episode twenty Juliette remembered who her long time mate was.
Final part and what I hated was that the season ended on such a cliffhanger! Right at the end Nick's life was put in severe danger and then To Be Continued appeared on the screen, grrrrr! Right after that added to the screen were was the sentence You Had to Have Expected That!, the last two episodes were one long story which will continue on for at least one more show! That first picture below features the seven main characters in season two, there were a few other important ones who came and went. Lying in a coma is Juliette though she did arise from it, tending to her is this show's hero Nick. Behind him is Hank who is Nick's partner, to his right is Monroe who is a Blutbad Wesen but poses no danger and has become best friends with Nick. In the middle wearing the suit is Sean Renard, he's the main captain at Nick and Hank's Portland PD precinct and think later on becomes mayor of the city! In the blue uniform is Sgt. Drew Wu and I like him a lot, he's got such witty answers and sarcastic comments to every gruesome incident that happens and there's too many of those too count! In front of Wu is Monroe's semi girlfriend Rosalee who became a FT character in season two, she too is a mild mannered Wesen who brings needed sanity to this team of seven though for now Wu has no clue about the world of Wesens! Most TV series I do recommend and if a show is just so-so don't waste my time doing reviews for it so when I say a series is worth a watch you can trust me with that opinion. Wow, have found some unknown beauties watching these American dramas with my favorite by far being Amy Acker though this scorcher could give her a run for the money. This is the "Grimm" character Adalind Schade who for the first 32 episodes only appeared in about half of them but in the middle of season two became a FT character and will remain so until the end of the series. Adalind was a Wesen creature called Hexenbiest who is a female witch and when they Woge they look so gruesome. However in season one when Adalind was battling Nick he was able to make her lose those powers by making her ingest his blood! Because of that Adalind holds such a grudge and she was responsible for putting Nick's girlfriend Juliette into a coma. For the entire second season Adalind never recovered her powers but there may be a way for she's become pregnant and a powerful Romanian gypsy says she'll restore Adalind to her prior self for the baby!!!! This baby has royal blood for Adalind slept with Sean Renard and also his brother Erich a week apart, for now no one knows who the father is and also neither man knows Adalind is pregnant! So that will be a key story in the third season and will begin that in early October so will have the review for that season in 3-4 weeks.
Playing Adalind is Claire Coffee who I had never heard of until viewing "Grimm" but that's understandable for I haven't seen many American series. Claire was 32/33 in age for this second season so that would make her current age 46. This series is the one she's most known for and wish we could see more of Claire for she is so, so seductive in this show even though she's such a witch! The above pics are from a magazine spread but the below ones are screenshots from episode twelve of season two. Actually they're from a deleted scene that was on the DVD and why would such a scene be deleted? Glad I watched that bonus feature and couldn't stop at just one time viewing it! So in future posts will be including more sizzling photos of the ultra vampy Claire, after the pics is a video of Adalind's deleted scenes from season two and it begins off with the below scene.... whewwww.... Will be ending off with another American actress who has never been mentioned here before. She's an actress from so many decades ago and though Claire is steamy to the Nth degree think I prefer the way that other woman looks and I may be the only Earthling to think so....

Three posts ago featured the first ever Barbara Steele movie here which was from 1960 and titled "Black Sunday", it was an Italian film. Barbara is from England but in 1959 moved to Italy and lived there until early 1966 which was when this film was released. In that period from 1960-66 Barbara made nine of these horror/gothic films which made her very popular and she was known as one of the first ever 'Scream Queens', she was born in 1937 and is still alive. She wasn't just popular in Italy but also in her home country of England plus a few other European countries and to an extent even America. "An Angel for Satan" is Barbara's final Italian movie so there's seven others to view, I have them all but odds are I won't review them all and have just the best. She also has a few other movies I'll be viewing after her return to the UK and seeing as how October is a ghoulish month will discuss two more of her films then. I used the word Gothic and that may be a first for me. The films Barbara starred in could be considered Horror but also Gothic for most were set over a century ago and the settings were often castles so I have noticed that word Gothic used often for her films. In the post that featured Barbara's first movie to be reviewed here also gave a lot of her bio info, won't do that today but will be talking more about her in future posts but hasn't this first paragraph been a mini bio for her? Yes and these intro paragraphs are ones I enjoy doing so much and usually more than the reviews! Did say in that previous post Barbara had such a unique look about her, she was very attractive but not in an obvious way and as you can see above the movie set was a bit cold.... now on to the review which should be three paragraphs.
No dates were given but setting of the film didn't look too ancient so my guess would be the 1880's and of course the country is Italy. The man you'll see the most of in the screenshots is a sculptor named Roberto Merigi(Anthony Steffan), that's him in the first one walking with a man named Alfonso who was the security man at the mansion this film is set at. The older man in the second and third screenshots is Count Montebruno(Claudio Gora) who sent for Roberto after a discovery was made at the village's lake. Because of a drought the water level receded and found was a statue two centuries old(1680's?). Not just any statue but one the villagers thought was cursed and in a way it was, the Count had sent for Roberto to restore the statue for it had been in the lake for 200 years! In the fifth screenshot along with a few others and also the last one is a woman named Illa who was played by Marina Berti, what a long movie career she had! Illa didn't have enough screentime but was so key to the finale, she oversaw the day to day operations of the Count's mansion plus the pair had a secret affair. At the seventeen minute the first appearance of the movie's star Barbara Steele was made, she played the role of Harriet Montebruno who was the niece of the Count and he had raised Harriet. Barbara also played the small role of Belinda who we saw in a flashback, she also played a dual role in the "Black Sunday" movie. Harriet had been studying in England since the age of five and appeared to be about 25 in age, Barbara was 28 when the movie was filmed.
Harriet's wealthy parents died when she was an infant, in the will it was stated that she would receive the mansion and all of her parent's millions when she completed her education which has been done and Harriet plans on living FT in her hometown village. There is a large staff at the Montebruno mansion, one is a young woman named Rita who will be Harriet's personal assistant and also has a secret relationship with the village's school teacher Dario. Right after the statue was brought ashore odd things began to happen and continued on until the very end. First the boat that brought Roberto to this island village sank and the boatsman drowned, the tensions among the villagers began to get quite testy as they fully believed in the statue's curse. The hardest to be hit with this so called 'curse' was the new arrival Harriet who at first seemed to be such a refined and likable young woman. Who bore a striking resemblance to the statue and that's because Harriet was a descendant of that woman, Roberto was using Harriet as a model for the statue's restoration. He was also smitten very quickly with Harriet and why not as she was such a striking woman but as mentioned soon she was affected by the curse more than any other villager. For Harriet's personality was changing as she would be her usual self for a few hours and then someone so different for the next few hours. That different Harriet was such a Vamp and I think seduced a few village men though we never saw her spend a night with any of them. She got her mansion's gardener to kill two women(!) and also had the village's strongest man burn down his house with his family inside which was after killing the teacher Dario!!!!. It wasn't telepathy that Harriet #2 used but some sort of seductive aura which worked on everyone except for her uncle Montebruno and the sculptor Roberto.
Who had seen what happened two hundred years ago as for a few moments the long deceased Belinda appeared in a vision at Roberto's studio. Belinda was around when the statue was being sculpted and was so jealous of the woman it had been based on, in an accident Belinda fell into the ocean clutching the statue which is how the curse began. Now two hundred years later has the spirit of Belinda returned to occupy Harriet's soul? The answer to that is yes but until the end no one was aware of that and at first we viewers, along with Roberto, thought that Count Montebruno was behind all of the death in this small village. With less than ten minutes to go in the film Roberto had caught the Count trying to hypnotize Harriet and was that why her personality changed plus was he the reason for the village's murders? To a small extent the answer was again yes and if Harriet did die the Count would inherit her vast fortunes which did make for a believable motive. But just as the Count was about to reveal the truth about what had been taking place a section of a bookcase opened, popping out was the mansion's overseer and the Count's mistress Illa. She had a pistol and shot the Count to death, final screenshot, then told Roberto and Harriet she's a descendant of the woman Belinda and was seeking revenge for her! But there was a real Belinda spirit hovering about the village as a human couldn't have done all that Illa did but we never did learn of the exact details. For Illa fled from the mansion, overlooking the lake was the restored cursed statue and for the second time an accident occurred with 'Belinda' falling into the lake with the statue and that ended the movie. I tend to rush through the endings as I don't want to go past four paragraphs but in a way that's okay as I don't want to have that many spoilers. This was a decent film though think Barbara's other horror/gothic movies will end up being better watches. I wouldn't call this a horror movie as there weren't many scary moments and very little violence but there was plenty of suspense and creepiness, the story was also interesting. So will say this is a movie worth watching though won't give it a high recommendation but Barbara Steele did look so vampy and seductive in this film so that's a darn good reason for viewing it! This is the movie that I've seen twice but both times were over ten years ago so had forgotten 95% of what had taken place. That movie is "Suicide Manual 1" which was released on October 6, 2003 so almost 23 years ago. There was a part two which I have seen but it's also one that I had seen a decade ago so will be viewing it again and will have a review of it. The female lead of Rie is played by Chisato Morishita who may have been my first ever #1 Japanese woman! In 2024 and 2025 uploaded many of her photobooks from the 2000's and already had posted a few of them before that which are quite memorable. I added Chisato's name in the Labels section so click on her name to view about ten close to perfect books! On to the review and will try to keep this at three paragraphs, there's other reviews out there for it and in a way it was a simple movie. There were many films from 2000-05 that had a theme of Suicide and if you watch too many it wouldn't be a positive experience. The most known of those films is "Suicide Club" from 2001 which I've seen many times though I think is a bit overrated. There are some scenes in it which are truly mind boggling but all in all the entire movie was just so-so though I do recommend it. I actually preferred this movie which had very little action or violence but moved right along and it was more believable than "Suicide Club". The lead male role belonged to Kenji Muzuhashi and from 1998 to about 2010 starred in so many of these B-Horror movies. I think he always did a fantastic job and usually Kenji was the victim, he had a large and key role in the first "Tomie" movie and I love that film series, he was also in the seventh movie. He played the role of Yu in this film, he's a cameraman and reporter for a small TV station, his supervisor was Keita who was portrayed by Hideo Sakaki who I've seen in at least ten films with his best being "Versus".
Yu's latest assignment was to cover the recent rash of suicides in Tokyo and try to discover what was going on such as was a cult involved? Working with Yu was his assistant Rie(Chisato) and the pair weren't as interested in getting a big scoop as trying to save those who were on the verge of suicide. Which didn't please their manager Keita in the least who was like most bosses and only cared about the bottom line. The first screenshot below is how the film opened and it gave a warning to those viewing that this and hopefully other films were not glorifying suicide. There is a book called "The Complete Manual of Suicide" which came out in 1993 and did give many options on how to end your life. But this film never encouraged one to resort to such measures and in this movie there was a video called "The Suicide Manual" but it was a DVD that helped one to live and there's two screenshots of that near the bottom. Yu and Rie helped save a young girl who had been thinking of killing herself, her name was Nanami and in return she gave Yu a DVD that featured a woman named Ricky though think it should have been spelled Ricki. She's in some screenshots below and like the 1993 book her video gave instructions on the best way to end your life and were those real deaths that Ricky was showing? Yu was such a down in the dumps man and rarely smiled, somehow he had been dating Rie and how did that happen?! After viewing the DVD Yu became so obsessed with finding out the truth about Ricky and why she was helping people end their lives, we viewers knew it was just a matter of time until Yu attempted to do so. Especially after that girl Nanami finally did end her life, there's a fuzzy screenshot below of her jumping from a roof and think it was that way to make it appear more life like.
Final bit and have been jumping around with the events instead of going from A to Z. Twice Yu and Rie were so close to death but backed out at the last second, in the first one they were at a small get together and a man drank cyanide, needless to say his life ended quickly. Then Yu was going to bring two young females home but they drugged him and think they were about to end Yu's life but the unexplainable happened! Which is unexplainable for the girls were whisked away to their deaths and I think it was Ricky who was the killer so did that make her a deadly spirit or some sort of Shinigami? Towards the end of the film Yu and Rie made a death pact but it appeared only Rie went through with the deed and I was slightly confused with those minutes before the movie ended. Rie's face kept changing between hers and Ricky's though that went unnoticed to Yu so was Rie connected via a spirit to Ricky or was that thrown in to confuse us? If so it worked but at the very end, the bottom screenshot, Yu met his demise and what a unique contraption that was which pierced him to death, the movie ended on that note. Though I was a bit confused at the end sure if I watch it again or read another review will be able to make sense of what took place. All in all I thought this was a decent movie even though the topic was a bit morbid but the story wasn't gruesome nor did the movie glorify suicide so if you're a fan of Japanese horror films this is one I would recommend. If you are a fan bet you've already seen it and if so perhaps you could explain the end a bit better for me. Could not find a regular trailer on YT and wonder if that was because of the subject matter? Unknown to Agnes the huge mansion had a curse on it or at least some mysterious happenings had taken place which were just known to the residents of this unnamed town. Which wasn't too far from Ventura, California and the man below was trying to discourage Agnes from working at the Gale Estate. Agnes aced the interview and would be starting immediately, Lorna Gale told Agnes her cousin Jennifer had been the previous caretaker but had disappeared without a trace a few months back. We never did see Jennifer once in this movie but that unseen character was the focus of this movie and consumed Agnes so much she almost had a breakdown! For Agnes wasn't 100% well and had told Lorna she hadn't worked for four months due to being ill. Agnes also added in she didn't mind staying alone in such a huge mansion and were things such as that the reason Agnes was hired? For after she left the estate Lorna met up with the man in the sixth screenshot, he'll also be in many more. The character's name was Jim Hollis(Duff) who owned the town's real estate office and also their general store. To us viewers it appeared the pair had some dastardly scheme all planned out and that Agnes would be their pawn or fall person, it didn't turn out that way but we never trusted or believed anything about Jim until the very end. While there were no overly creepy moments nor any violent scenes the atmosphere was always a bit mysterious and gloomy, the gloomy part for that's what the personality of Agnes was like.
But she was a smart woman and began to play detective at the mansion as she started to become consumed with what happened to Lorna's cousin Jennifer? First Agnes found some newish clothes that Jennifer left behind, when she asked Jim about that he just shrugged it off. Agnes also found a 1953-54 diary of Jennifer's and there were no entries after April, the time period in the movie was late August. There were a few other pieces of 'evidence' that Jennifer had left behind and Agnes constantly asked Jim Hollis about these things. Jim would usually change the subject and you could tell he was hiding something about Jennifer's disappearance which frustrated Agnes to the Nth degree. Jim would be at the Gale Estate every day and the reason he used was that he was the agent trying to sell the mansion but he had also fallen hard for the gloomy yet ultra attractive Agnes. Who never had the same feelings for Jim though later in the movie Agnes did attend a town dance with him and said it was the first time in eons she had been happy, we never did learn what kind of problems Agnes may have had. Agnes did find one other piece of key evidence that she hoped would solve the mystery of where Jennifer has gone off to. She found a bankbook of Jennifer's that had quite a few deposits and they added up to be $70,000(!), that was a huge sum back in 1953 and still is these days. The questions were where did the money come from and most of the deposits were in a six month stretch. Also why hadn't there been any withdrawals, was it because Jennifer had been abducted and the bankbook was lost in the commotion? At the town's general store there was a college student named Orin who was the only person who would tell Agnes the truth about Jennifer. He told her Jennifer had worked PT for an LA attorney who six months ago had killed himself as he was caught embezzling money, could the deposits made to Jennifer's bank account been from the attorney because Jennifer had been blackmailing him? As it turned out the bankbook was a sham and all the fake deposits had bene entered by Jennifer!
Final segment and when you've read about all that happened wouldn't you think there was some evil coverup about Jennifer's disappearance? You sure would and bet most viewers thought so too, know I did. So these bits of evidence were certainly suspicious, a key thing is how you look at a situation and Agnes's point of view was way off but for a while it seemed she would be Mrs. Sherlock Holmes. That's if her questions were ever answered truthfully by Jim or Lorna Gale which of course didn't happen and as a result with ten minutes to go in this 73 minute film it appeared Agnes was going to have a breakdown! There was all that evidence mentioned plus near the end Agnes saw a woman's body buried beneath the cellar floorboards, without a doubt the body was Jennifer's!!!! Agnes ran screaming out of the cellar and waiting at the mansion's front door was Jim, that was the last person Agnes wanted to see as she felt Jim was the killer of Jennifer! But for the first time Jim opened up about the real truth of Jennifer's disappearance and all of this may have been avoided had he come clean when he first met Agnes. The bottom two screenshots are what took place at the end, Jim said that it's true Jennifer is dead but she died three months ago in a sanitarium! What Agnes saw in the cellar was her own reflection and that may have been because of all the stress she had been under, Jim's cool demeanor restored the sanity of Agnes and the movie concluded on that note. As I had mentioned thought there was going to be more intensity and mystery to this movie but even though they were lacking it is worth a watch though sure no one reading this will check it out and has anyone ever viewed one of my recommended movies? I tend to be biased towards these older noir/crime/mystery movies in B&W so I tend to grade these films higher than other reviewers. There was no trailer for the film but will have one more mini section after these screenshots which really do help you understand a movie much better.

But besides being such an excellent actress Ida was also one of the first ever women directors in Hollywood. She directed over a hundred TV episodes and was the only woman to direct an episode of the classic "Twilight Zone". Ida also directed a few movies, her first and possibly best one was "The Hitch Hiker" from 1953. I've seen that at least a dozen times, it dealt with a serial killer fleeing for freedom in Mexico and that was one of the most suspenseful movies I've ever viewed so highly recommend it. Ida died at the age of 77 in August 1995 and have said before that the negative about being such an old time movie fan is that most of the actresses are dead or if they've alive are 80+ in age. Will try to hunt down some movies of Ida's I've never seen and have them in future posts, have some extremely older photos here and to me Ida was truly one attractive and seductive woman. To me better than the other two I talked about in this post and while all the pictures are dazzling the final one below is my favorite, whew!
