Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: Their first 'A little bit of this and that' post for 2019....
Seems 99% of the time when an Idol says they're retiring for good a few months later they're back trying to make it on their own solo. When Nanami announced she was leaving the entertainment field for good two years ago figured she just wanted a long break and probably did deserve one as so don't many other Nogi members. She had said several times she really wanted to be an actress and she had been in one non-Nogi drama back in 2013. However Nanami has kept her word which is both good and bad, good for her as though I don't know what she's currently doing she must be doing okay or she would have made some sort of comeback. Bad because I seem to be missing her more than ever these days and have a feeling I'm not alone with those yearnings.
Oh well, will get over my heartbreak as there's plenty of current members to talk about, am even playing some Nogi tunes right now and seems lately have been getting back into them much more. These are two new breathtaking pics but those will really be the only ones from Hinako today except for the final bit. With her new photobook being released two weeks ago would have thought there would have been many mag spreads but there's only been one. The PB has sold fairly well, it's been #1 on the Oricon charts both weeks since it was released and has sold about 39,100 copies. Will have a post for her in the top twenty list which I hope to start soon, another pair of outtake pics from the book and that first one..... gulp..... second one is pretty darn good too....
Whew, need to recollect my thoughts for a second, she really surprised so many fans with some of those PB pics. Today, which is the 10th, a trio of Nogi members were on hand to promote a new Sony exhibit at the Roppongi Museum. Sony is Nogi's label and the reason the gals were on hand is that a wing of the exhibit is devoted to Nogi and it's probably the biggest exhibit. Shouldn't say probably but actually definitely as there's 90,000(!) items that are related to the group and bet the museum will soon be bowled over by Nogi fans. There's also a Nogi Cafe at the exhibit and it will be running until May 12th, some of the pics are of the exhibits.
Of course one of the gals above was Minoa, the day before she was at another event which was for the Red Cross and a new campaign called 'Hitachi's Blood Donation Campaign'. There was actually five members there but only one really needed their pics here. After the few of them are some from last Wednesday's 'Recon' radio show which she's a co-host of.
Asuka was also one of the members at the museum opening, for a change no new spreads for her today but she does have a few upcoming ones. Pics here are newish ones for the GRL Winter collection.
Sunday will be having at least one post as a few Nogi members will be at Saturday's 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show' though there may be more for the Keya gals.
No recent mag spreads for today but do have a pair that were missed from 2018. First one features the 'M' members who are Manatsu, Miona and Mizuki in the May 1st issue pf SPA!, know it's really old but had never posted the set.
Bit of a newer spread which is from the November edition of Nikkei Entertainment and it features a quintet of members.
Miria is an Undergirl who I've liked for a long time and can't believe she's never been a Senbatsu member for at least one single. She was the co-host of Wednesday's 'Showroom' and she was joined by Hinako, pair had a fun time looking through the new PB. The video of the show is after the pics, it's a decent watch but it is two hours long!
