Makoto Tanaka as Akane Eguchi.... another colleague of Taiga at his office

Shuhei Abe as Ken Okita.... another Shogi player who looks up to Tae

Wasn't planning on writing these four recaps all in one sitting but want to start on the "Missing Noir: M" series tomorrow, just a heads up for the small yet devoted Korean drama fans here. It's getting close for Tae's next round in the Shogi tournament, one more win and she'll be in the championship match for the first time. But as you can see above though Taiga is rooting for her so bad if Tae wins she may be out of Taiga's league but he's been thinking that way since they first met.
The pair were at a shrine where they got good luck charms, Tae of course wished to win her next match. Taiga didn't reveal his wish but have a feeling it was to spend the rest of his life with Tae. As the pair were talking Taiga noticed the 'stalker' we saw in the previous episode, he had so many pics of Tae on his camera and some were of Tae in her apartment. Taiga gave a lame excuse to Tae and ran after the unnamed man who quickly fled.
Taiga was able to catch up to him though he's not the type of person to use violence against someone. Taiga wouldn't have had to resort to violence anyway as the man wanted to talk with Taiga as he had some disturbing pics on his camera. Tae's apartment had been broken into twice recently, the last time was two nights ago but nothing had been stolen. The camera man had been outside of Tae's place during the last break in and took pics of the intruder. Taiga looked at the pictures the man had taken and couldn't believe he recognized who the intruder was.

This drama does get much more serious for the first time and it was one reason I would have liked to see a few more episodes so this new storyline could have been played out further. Whose pictures should be on the camera but Yuki who was Taiga's boss at his company! Taiga naturally couldn't tell Tae that it was her friend of 24 years Yuki who had broken in twice. Instead Taiga confronted his boss who kind of blew Taiga aside, wasn't a true threat but he told Taiga not to breath a word of it to Tae.
Taiga wouldn't have had the chance for a while as Tae was at her next match, she had been losing badly at first but made a remarkable comeback to win and move into the championship round. Taiga met her after the match to celebrate, Tae is such a down to earth gal so going to a ramen shop was a treat for her. At the shop for the first time Taiga blurted out 'Tae, will you be my girlfriend?'. Needless to say she was stunned, Tae didn't give a yes or no answer at the time though deep down she seemed pleased at being asked the question.
After their mellow celebration the pair each headed home, Tae told Taiga it was okay not to escort her home as she was no longer worried about an intruder. They went their separate ways and for Taiga it was a path to hell. As he was walking through a short tunnel there was a hooded man in there and for some reason the person he was waiting for was Taiga.

That hooded man was Yuki who is definitely a deranged character. For so many years he's been infatuated with Tae though has never expressed his love to her but had remained a close friend. To Yuki Taiga is someone who is standing between him and his love which means he must be eliminated. Yuki took out a knife and began inching closer to Taiga who couldn't believe what kind of monster his boss had turned into.
Meanwhile Tae didn't quite make it home as she realized she had left her phone in the ramen shop. As she was heading back there Tae was passing by the tunnel where the fracas was taking place. Recognizing the two figures she rushed in just as Yuki had thrust his knife into Taiga who crumbled to the ground. Yuki then turned to face Tae and it almost appeared he would attack her too. However we have said that Tae is the love of Yuki's life so he couldn't harm her, instead he ran out of the tunnel and it was the last we saw of him as it seemed the police caught up with him days later.
Taiga was rushed to the hospital but the wound wasn't severe as the knife thrust had been deflected. Of all things it was the Shogi book that Tae had given Taiga, Shogi had saved his life. While Sanae visited Taiga in the hospital Tae never did, she just felt so guilty about what took place as she felt she was the cause of the incident. But on a good note Tae's title match was a success as for the first time she had won a major championship and her future as a Shogi professional was quite bright.
In the final scene which took place well over a month later Taiga was heading home from work. Along his route waiting for him was Tae and needless to say Taiga was overjoyed to see her. Tae had a huge announcement for Taiga, after winning the championship Tae had 'retired' from the pro ranks of Shogi as she finally realized there was more to life than that game. She now teaches Shogi to younger children at her own hall and is loving every second if it. In the last twenty or so seconds Tae finally had the answer to Taiga's question which was 'Will you be my girlfriend?'. Her answer was 'Will you be my boyfriend?' with the series coming to it's conclusion on that note.

Usually give a rating from one to ten on dramas but will skip that due to it being such a short series. But did enjoy it and though not a must watch drama it is one that's worth a watch, especially to Yuki fans. That final scene was a bit longer than I explained but was getting tired after writing four recaps in a row but the screenshots of how it all played out are the final seven or so pics.
