Akari Suda: Is now demanding this Galaxy be named after her!!!!

 

 That's a first here with a huge fave of mine demanding this Galaxy be named after her, it used to be just this Blog and did she give up on that demand? Hmmmm, changing our Galaxy's name from the Milky Way might not go over so well with this planet's 7.5 billion inhabitants so perhaps perhaps naming a candy bar after her first like the Milky Way will be the(my) first step, any suggestions for a name? For a while did say a goal was to have a post a day for all of June but wanted to end that so hadn't had any for the past few days but could have done this two days ago. Lately it's been so hard getting motivated to write up drama recaps, was in the mood Friday as I watched two episodes, wrote one complete recap up and began on a second so it was a productive day. Those recaps are the next two posts and what a terrific series that old one from 1985 has become! Hopefully my patience has paid off as I think 3-4 posts in this vein can also be done over the next few days for a few others favorites, wouldn't say Akari 😍 is well liked here but she's been my current #1 woman for at least five months and perhaps even before that. So do have some darn good posts coming up this week though may be taking tomorrow off for it does take time to work on them.

 This will be Akari's final post for June, she's had three this month and also had that amount for May.... maybe even April(?!). This is post #17 for her since December 1st when the 'Nao Year' began, that was seven months ago so she's been averaging 2.43 posts a month. Multiply that by twelve months you get a little over 29 posts and that would be a new record for a year! The record is 26 which was set in 2022, one other woman has 25 and in 2023 Akari led everyone with 23. So even if the pace drops to two posts a month that would mean ten more for the year to reach a grand total of 27 and if you're a betting man notify your bookie immediately and place your bets.... of her setting a new record!!!!

 This has actually been a mini quiet period for Akari though she's still the busiest woman I post about and that will continue for a while. She has a movie coming out in September which looks quite good to me, she'll have the lead female role and from viewing the trailer it appears to be a psychological thriller. So beginning in August we should see Akari begin to promote the film with some interviews, perhaps a magazine spread or two and hopefully there will be a couple of screenings. So she's making it difficult for anyone else to overtake has as my #1 Queen of the year, Akari 😍 had that honor in 2023 and was seventh on the fave's list the prior year. Plus she's been in the number two position in 2018 and 2024 so she truly is someone special to me, though most readers will never be Akari fans the views for her posts have steadily been rising.

 Wow(!), that's from her second photobook "Pluie" and hope to do a post for it soon. This is Akari's third post in 22 days so of course there's not a huge amount of recent photos but do have 28 terrific new ones from her IG page that will end the post. I work much harder on her posts than any other woman and I will confess I just can't get enough of Akari! Though it's difficult do go back in time looking for older things that have never been posted here before, my searches don't always work out well but they did for today as there must be 35 pics or more from the Stone Age that had never been seen here before. Perhaps that total could have been even higher but do want to save a few odds and ends for future posts.

 About a week ago someone hit the milestone of a hundred posts, only the second time it's been reached since 2020. Akari should be the next to hit that rare achievement, my prediction is early next year.... March? On to the meat of this post and will begin off with sone older SKE/AKB cards, usually have these for ex-Idols and they'll feature cards for the month we're in. But have posted all of her ones from June so have some oddball ones and will try to have more of these in future posts. This batch of cards are all from 2018, the first trio are from the old SKE Request Hour show, the next five are for an SKE September Nagoya concert and the group is based there. The next six are from the AKB/BNK tune "Jabaja" and remember when songs featured members from all '48' groups(?), two that are with Akari should be familiar to many viewers and the rest are just random ones from the year.

 Akari did have some magazine spreads earlier in the year to promote her second photobook but have zero new ones for today. Have said before how most J-Pop fans may not realize how many gravure spreads Akari had while with SKE, she must have had fifty or more from 2011 until she left near the end of 2022. There's a few older spreads that have never been posted here before, it's not easy but won't give up in my hunt for them. So here's a mini feature that I will have in two more posts which is of all the magazine covers she's graced, solo or with other SKE members. This first batch has covers from 2011-14 though the bottom two are from a special 2012 AKB magazine to promote their Hawaiian cards. SKE used to be so popular from 2012-18, I think only group put out better singles during that time and I still think their recent singles have been oki-doki. Three of the covers feature her close mate Yuria and I vow to do a 'Pairs Post' for them but won't give a date....

 May as well include one older spread for today, did have some SKE cards from 2018 above so this set will also be from that year and is from the September 4th issue of SPA!. It featured outtake pics from Akari's first photobook which had disappointing sales yet is one of my all time favorites. I had been a fan of hers since 2014 but when I got this book Akari became such a massive favorite of mine and even more so these days.

 Here's a very special treat for all of you and this set of pics is also brand new for here yet is quite ancient. From 2010-14 SKE did have a fair amount of medium sized group photobooks that were often released by magazines. This below book came out in September 2012 and was published by Asahi Shimbun which was based out of SKE's hometown of Nagoya. There were many other books but this appears to be the only one that had a biggish section of Akari which makes sense as all of the other members had good sized pictorials in other books. Think this was the first edition and the book continued on for two more years. I miss these kinds of books and magazines, Hello Project groups used to have these also and actually published many more of them. Sure I'm not the first to say it about her pics in this book but there are Nun finer than Akari(ooooooh!)

 As is my norm will end off with many sparkling photos from her IG page, these go from June 9th until the 20th. She has such a magnetic pull over me, more than any other woman I post about so to me these kinds of Akari pics are just as good if not better than any gravure photos. It may be close to impossible but should have some sort of list of my fave IG pics, an all time list would be difficult but how about ones for a year? The bottom two are from the SKE Theater in Nagoya, she was there to watch the first performance from the group's newest members. Was just gaping at these again and all are so super duper, you don't use the word classy to describe her often but you can for those first photos. No new solo videos so after the tremendous pics is another trailer for Akari's upcoming movie "Otokogami" which will be released on September 19th.
