Back much sooner than I expected with a repost for a Nogi book and unsure how many I've done to date on this project to clean up some older posts. It doesn't matter how many have been done to date but I do know one thing and that's this book should have been the first one to be redone! For I really dropped the ball when doing the posts for this book and makes me wonder.... WHAT WAS I THINKING?! Before 2018 often cut photobooks in half for two posts but for this book made it into three posts yet the book only had 95 photos! So that meant just 32 pics a post plus I stretched the three out over a month instead of publishing them all in one day so should have had my Blogger's license revoked! Because of that this book received many less views than it should have and have now deleted those three prior posts that were done in the Spring of 2015. One other flub of mine was not putting the pics in order but did so for this post plus this is a different version of the book with higher quality pics so all in all it's a huge win for you readers. These days seldom make such huge mistakes and not sure what happened when I did the original posts for this classic book....
This was Nogi's first ever photobook and it was released on December 10, 2014 and six weeks later Mai's second book came out but it was a style book and not one that contained many gravure pics. Mai's third book is famous throughout the Galaxy as it's the best selling photobook from an Idol and the second best selling book of all time! Of course all know the "Passport" book so well and total sales are over 450,000 copes sold which is so mind boggling. This book has sold a little over 100,000 copies but it did take a while to get there and to me this book is so fabulous it's deserved double of what it's sold. My favorite Mai book is her fourth and last one which was released in October 2020, it was titled "Memorial Graduation Magazine" and not sure why magazine was in the title as it was a book. Sure I'm in the minority with it being my top book of her but bet a few of you reading this may have this as your favorite book from her and I wouldn't say you would be wrong as the pics are truly blazing! This book does contain many gravure pics but most Nogi books up until 2017 didn't, after "Passport" came out in February 2017 it became a case of which member could have the most revealing photos and that also spread to other group's books.
EDIT: It's now a few hours later and am so glad I waited to do that list!!!! My top two books are Minami's one and only to date along with Hinako's second. However in such a shocker moving past the other 55 or so books that have been posted is the first ever book from Nagi and two pics from it are right below. I am so stunned that a book can be so stupendous and after posting so many hundreds of them(500+) didn't think I would ever be floored again with such perfect photos! Won't be posting the book until August 1st because I wait at least three months before having any Idol book but will do a post for Nagi within the week and I'm truly more speechless than I've ever been.... WOWOWOW!!!!
In about two months Mai will be hitting the age of 33 so let me work on a pair of birthday posts for her. It's not the first time I've lost interest in a huge favorite but will admit Mai will always be one of my all time top women and will talk more about things in those posts. One other thing I mentioned recently in a post is the lack of huge superstars in the current world of J-Pop, Nogi has had so many over the past decade and no one topped the popularity of Mai!!!! She has had a successful solo career but mainly just does acting these days, haven't viewed her 2023 movie "Zom 100" yet but did just get it and will recap it as I'm a sucker for Zombie flicks! Let's finally get to the book and doing posts such as this again often makes me more aware of how terrific a book was. This was much better than I had remembered plus I forgot how many gravure pics were in this book but not at the level that were in her final two books. One thing I've never found out is where Mai went to for the photo shoots, must have checked twenty sites with no success. This sweltering book contains 95 photos and kind of surprised it struggled to reach 100,000 in sales but at the end of 2014 Nogi wasn't nearly as popular as they were about to become.
