Erina Mano: Her scrumdiddlyumptious "Zero" photobook scans.... a repost....

Up next for this series about doing reposts of older photobooks and pictorials is a huge favorite of myself and you viewers. Who of course is Erina and what a massive fave she was of mine for such a long time but haven't done any posts for newish things since 2019. In the Summer of 2018 she got married to a Japanese pro soccer player but at the time he was playing in Spain so in 2019 she moved there and has done very little since. Thirteen months ago Erina finally did have her first child and was 33 at the time, of course that means she's now 34 and still can't get over how time is flying for when I began to post about so many of my massive faves they were in the 20 to 23 range as far as ages go. As mentioned a few other times there's a few reasons for this series on doing reposts for older photobooks, one is that the pictures are better. That's not quite the case here but did edit them up a bit and put them in a better order. Another reason is that at one time(pre-2018) I often split up photobooks into two posts which did mean fewer views, this book actually was split up into three posts when one was enough.

One last reason is that so many of these terrific photobooks have been forgotten about and so haven't women such as Erina who is one of the most popular women I've ever done posts for. Plus I bet if you've become a newbie to the world of J-Pop Idols, actresses and gravure models a lot of these older books are new to you. If you enjoy this book and you better(!) will have three more regular photobooks coming up plus a pair(four?) of web books of Erina's but will spread them out to one every 2-3 weeks. Did say Erina was a massive fave of mine and that's an understatement, when I did my first 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list exactly seven years ago she finished in the seventh position and could have been a spot or two higher. Had she not gotten married and for the most part retired a top five spot could have taken place for list two but that didn't happen and that's been the case for so many of my older faves who are 32+ in age.

Though Erina was affiliated with Hello Project from 2006-14 I never considered her to be a J-Pop Idol and to me that term has become too broad over the years. Just because you're a singer doesn't make you an Idol and at times bet serious singers and/or musicians would prefer not to be referred to as an Idol. Erina hasn't released any music since 2012 and stopped doing concerts the following year. To me Erina has been most known as an actress, then a gravure model and thirdly as a singer but bet her photobooks are what made her so popular. "Zero" was her seventh book, three more came out after this. For a while her 2018 photobook which had the simple title of "Erina" was my top book of all time, it no longer is but still is in my top five. This book was released on August 27, 2014 so almost eleven years ago and contains 110 pics, this easily could be my second favorite book of hers. What I miss is Erina's acting, have seen her in about five dramas and the "Patlabor" movie series. What I loved Erina the most in the "SPEC" films when she played Hoshi Satori who was such and eerie witch/seer though not officially either one, what would you call her character?
