Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Miku Tanaka... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Rui Takanashi: Her stupefying second Friday magazine 2025 digital book though....

.... not too much else but the total amount of photos could be over a hundred! It's still a bit of a slow period and have said that's often the case for August but am able to get by as I can still do a post almost every day. Do have a few digital books such as this one that have come out the last few months which you be seeing over the next three weeks, the big positive about them is that most feature our biggest favorites though my tastes and yours don't match too often. Except for someone like Rui and she's one of the women who I wouldn't have thought would be too popular here yet she is, not as easy doing posts for her this year of her group. There are a lot of pics because of the book but this could be considered a medium sized post and these will be more common over the next few weeks.

That group of course is BababaBambi and in a way they've been my top J-Pop group over the last three years. Because my top member left a year ago my interest has waned a bit but not by too much and in all honesty my interest in most current groups has waned. I still listen to J-Pop on a semi-regular basis but almost all the music is at least five years old, very often over a decade old! There's too many groups these days and while most seem decent they kind of blend in so very few are all that noticeable. BababaBambi has been one of those noticeable groups to me the last four years and they do put on such a fun show but wish they had more recorded music, it's also been eons since a group post. But Rui has had about four posts this year and I really do like her, she may not look it but she'll be hitting the age of 28 in two months. Another member has hit that age so do wonder how long the group will remain together but they have concerts lined up until next year. Rui shouldn't have much a problem supporting herself after the group disbands as she does have a degree in Linear Algebra and Polymer, doubt if any other woman I post about can make that claim!

Do have some recent photos from Rui's IG page though not as many as usual. She loves to cosplay though hasn't uploaded any of those kinds of pics lately. The top one is for Rui's birthday #28 party which will take place on October 18th, her actual birthday is six days later. At the bottom you will see some listings for upcoming shows which stretch into next year so unlike their sister group #2i2 BababaBambi is showing no signs of ending. The pics before that are from a show yesterday at Line Cube in Shibuya, they also performed ten days ago at this year's Tokyo Idol Festival which celebrated it's 15th anniversary.

When I said my favorite BababaBambi member had left was referring to Mio and if circumstances had worked out better she'd be in the running to be my all time #1 woman! That's how much I adore Mio 😍 who also just turned 28 recently, wanted to do a post for her but it didn't work out but if she has any fans left will have that post very soon.

No new magazine spreads for Rui but do have this set from the May 30th issue of Friday which was promoting today's digital book. Also have somewhat recent books for Miyu and Usa which will be coming up soon, the latter is the most popular member by far here.

On to the Friday book and this is Rui's second for the magazine this year, she has many other dazzling books and recommend checking them out. This set contains 74 photos and was released on May 15th with the title of "Kotori no Itazura". There was no video from the photo shoot which is okay for after these tremendous pics is a video for her one and only regular photobook "Bird Play" which came out last October. I had never seen it until now and it's worth checking out as she has so few gravure ones on YT.
