Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: The scrumdiliumcious 'Mai Shiraishi post' #40.....

Keep thinking there's been a shortage of Mai solo posts but that's not really the case as this is her fourth one since early December, guess it means we all wish there so many more. Her Nogi mate's "Intermission" photobook has sold close to 250,000 copies to date which may be the second best selling Idol PB of all time. However don't think that book will top the sales of "Passport" which still sells on a consistent basis and to date the total sold is over 320,000.
If you look on the right hand side under the most viewed posts of the past thirty days "Passport" is #1 and it's been that way for about two weeks. That's quite surprising as that post was done two years ago, it's such a magnificent of pics it's easy to understand why why viewers keep flocking to it. The question for a while has been will Mai ever release another photobook? Personally have no clue if it'll ever happen, of course I'd love to see one but perhaps it's her choice to have that be her final PB as it's not like she needs the yens these days.

Can live without another photobook as long as there's no news of a graduation for a while. Mai has never been my top Nogi member but when she leaves is when I'll probably stop following Nogi. In a way guess she could be my #1 member as I do take her for granted too often but if there was a list just for my fave Idols of all time she'd be in the top five.
Not as many Mai mag spreads as there once were but do have a pair of them for today. Sure Mai makes so much more $$ these days for spreads then she did five years ago so it's easy to understand why she doesn't appear in as many. Will start off with a few recent Nogi cards that hadn't been posted and there are more than these but am saving them....

.... for her next solo post which hopefully will be on March 31st. The day before she'll be attending the 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show along with a few other Nogi members and she always looks so classy at those shows.

There's also another TGC show on April 20th and hopefully she'll be there too, her and other members should as Nogi's fourth album comes out on the 17th. Mai used to be an exclusive model for the Larme and Ray magazines but she left them last Spring. These days she's with Voce, pics may be better however there's less of them but she is the cover girl for their April issue.

Yesterday's group post had a long video for Mouse computers as Nogi has many new ones for them. If I can't find a video for the next event will have another CM from them today. Did find that other video but think Mai fans will enjoy that one more.

Mai has been a bit of a spokesperson for Samantha Thavasa for some years now. However she doesn't do many CM's or promotions for them but does always make an appearance at their events and truly looks like a few trillion yen. The company's last event took place on February 4th and it was for their 25th anniversary, she did say at it that the members have used their bags in Nogi PV's.

Did find a video of the event which is below these final pics and luckily she's the only one in the video. Will end off with this massive Mai spread which contains 29(!) pics and is from volume nine of Platinum Flash. These days there's seldom any gravure pics in her spreads but that doesn't matter as Mai still looks perfect to all of us.
