"Kamen Rider Zero-One" series: Episode five recap

Fumiya Takahashi as Aruto Hiden.... 22 year old lad who is a failure at being a comedian. Inherited the presidency of Hiden Intelligence when his grandfather died and can transform into the Zero-One hero

Noa Tsurushima as Izu.... HumaGear who is the presidential aide to Aruto Hiden.

Kazuya Kojima as Jun Fukuzoe.... VP of Hiden Technology who wanted to be president, Aruto's new enemy

Asumi Narita as Shesta..... HumaGear who is secretary to Fukuzoe

Arata Saeki as Sanzo Yamashita.... Senior managing director at Hiden

Tokuma Nishioka as Koronosuke Hiden.... Aruto's grandfather, died in episode one

Terms:

Hiden Intelligence- Company started by the elder Hiden to create A.I. HumaGears

A.I.M.S.- Artificial Intelligence Military Service, dedicated to destroying rouge HumaGears plus Maigas or anything to do with MetsubouJinrai.net

MetsubouJinrai.net- Cyper-terrorist group whose purpose is to hack into HumaGears and turn them rogue or more precisely, Maigas

HumaGear- A.I. Humanoids developed by the Hiden Company to serve mankind

Magias- Rogue HumaGears, turned evil due to the hacking of MetsubouJinrai.net

Trilobites- Inept creatures created by Magias to help them in their battles

Progrise Keys- Devices Kamen Riders use which have many different powers

 Usually don't give that much info to start things off but thought it may work out better this way. You'll have a handy-dandy guide to the characters and such, will be adding on to it when new things or persons are introduced. Plus it'll save me from repeating myself too often during a recap, though the heading may be long don't think these recaps will be as a show is just 22 minutes long.

                          Episode five title: His Passionate Path of Manga

 Up until now there's been a certain trend as every HumaGear Aruto has befriended has become a rogue one or as they're named, a Magia. That wasn't the case for the first time in this episode but many nice HumaGears 'died' and didn't think they could pass away from being overworked. Naturally being a young man Aruto is a fan of animes and mangas, especially the latter. His favorite series is called 'Perfuman' which is written by a man named Ishizumi who one day placed an order with Hiden Technology for another HumaGear, he already had three of them.
 Aruto was jumping for joy that such an esteemed manga artist wanted another HumaGear worker and personally delivered the A.I. to his mansion with the assistance of his aide Izu. But what Aruto saw at the mansion startled him as these days Ishizumi has turned into an overweight, lazy writer though he's grown so incredibly rich. That's all because of the HumaGears working for him, the trio he currently has does all of the drawing, coloring and now writing of the 'Perfuman' manga series while Ishizumi just sits around and eats.
 The reason a new HumaGear was needed was because Ishizumi works them too hard and they kind if 'die' off from being pushed too hard. Aruto is quite upset at what his favorite writer has turned into and what he's doing to HumaGears as their purpose wasn't to make people lazy and wealthy. Ishizumi is a respected customer but Aruto is a bit leery at selling the man another HumaGear, especially when one dropped 'dead' while he was making the delivery. Now Ishizumi may need yet another HumaGear as one he sent out on an errand had been cornered by Jin from MetsubouJinrai.net which is a terrorist group, that's Jin above. Their main aim is to destroy humankind by transforming all HumaGears into Magias which are basically rogue HumaGears.

 But as it's happened up until now Magias and their troop of Trilobites are no match for a Kamen Rider which is what Aruto transformed into to battle the rogue HumaGear(Magia). But the monsters are becoming more difficult to defeat as in every episode Kamen Rider Zero-One had needed help from the A.I.M.S. military unit but not for this battle. After the creatures were quickly extinguished Aruto met up again with Ishizumi where he told him he had some reservations about selling the man any more HumaGears and has put his order on hold.
 Above we see two of Hiden Technology's top executives who are peeved that Aruto would put an order on hold for such an esteemed customer. On the left is Fukuzoe and thought we'd be seeing more of him in these episodes. He was the VP when Aruto's grandfather ran the company and Fukuzoe presumed he'd be the new president. Needless to say that didn't happen and expected him to try and thwart Aruto's efforts at being a top notch president, so far Fukuzoe hasn't really done much expect complain to Yamashita who is also in those above screenshots. He's the managing director at the company but when a show is just 22 minutes long it's hard for everyone to have a major role.
 Yamashita felt so bad about the order not being filled he even went to visit Ishizumi along with Aruto and his assistant Izu to apologize. To his amazement the main reason the order may not go through is because of Izu who is a HumaGear. She had heard Aruto mentioning the word passion often when he was talking to Ishizumi. Izu didn't know what the word meant as HumaGears aren't supposed to have any emotions. But upon checking the word's meaning she too believed that Ishizumi had lost his passion and was pushing his HumaGears way too hard. While Izu was explaining this to the the others what should happen but the first rogue HuamGear reappearing at Ishizumi's office and it began to pummel everyone.

 Once Yamashita was shuffled off to safety Aruto was able to transform into Kamen Rider Zero-One, he's tried to keep it a secret from everyone but had to reveal his identity one day to the pair of A.I.M.S. agents. We didn't see too much of Yua or Fuwa this show but both also have devices which allow them to become Kamen Riders. When the Magia burst upon the scene again he was much more powerful and the agents did make an appearance to fight with Aruto or Zero-One.
 Zero-One seems to be more powerful and has many more weapons at his disposal but the two agents are much more efficient fighters, especially Yua who is above before she transformed into Kamen Rider Valkyrie. The red costumed person is her partner Fuwa who becomes Kamen Rider Vulcan. The pair jumped into battle with Zero-On to defeat the small army of Trilobites and the Magia, as usual it was no match as when there's three fighting at once they're unbeatable.\
 While this final battle was going on Ishizumi had been watching from the background. He was so impressed with the fighting abilities of the Kamen Riders and began to sketch them out on a pad. Later on he showed Aruto his new drawings as Ishizumi had realized the errors of his depending on HumaGears and once again will be writing the 'Perfuman' series by himself. But he will have the assistance of a pair of HumaGears to draw and color, he's now going to treat them so much better and Aruto's talks really got through to the much older man. Every show has had somewhat of a happy ending which may not be the case all of the time and this recap comes to it's close.

 Once again so much happened in a show so wasn't able to devote the final section to talking about more of the other things or people in the show. But have noticed a lot of those mysteries have been coming out, that's really true for the next recap as for the first time the main emphasis is on Jin and his organization though not everything was fully explained. Have no clue what the ratings are for a series such as this one but these Sunday morning shows are extremely popular and they have been for about fifty years.
