Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nanase Nishino: Her quest for world dominance is now complete, what's next?!
What's next is a mystery but sure she'll come up with something dramatic. That's because her ex best mate from Keya has announced her intentions to rule the Universe so what could be left, another galaxy? Nanase won't be number one for the second year in a row for having the most posts, this is #19 for her while the top person has 23. Way I now run my 'year' is that it ends on November 30th or today, it begins on December 1st. Thought it would make it much fairer for stats such as whose posts have drawn the most views or has the highest average. So doing a post on December 20th or so meant that it didn't have enough time to garner many views and will be doing those most popular lists again at the end of December.
Not a celebration toast but it works for me. This onslaught on Nanase posts continues as this is her tenth one in about three months, shame she wasn't eligible for this year's faves list as she just may have made a run at being number one again. Not the biggest of posts, well actually it is but not as many new happenings. But there is one event to end the post off with, there's 32 pics and didn't want them to become dated. Let's get right to things as I'm a bit brain dead at the moment and can't think of more inane topics to discuss. Have been including older Nanase Nogi cards in all of her recent posts, have a whole slew of them for today which have never been posted.
No new Nanase mag spreads for today though she has appeared in quite a few these past two months. Do have some outtake pics though from her photo shoot for the January issue of Non-no.
Non-no had published Nanase's last photobook which was her third one and came out in May 2018. Of course it was a massive seller so wonder if there's any plans for a fourth PB and know so many fans are clamoring for another one. When there's no new spreads like to have an encore view of an older set that's at least three years old, bet many may have missed it or have never seen them. For today we have this A++++ spread from the July 2016 edition of Brody.
Should be another Nanase post coming up soon for her huge 'BLT White Graph' spread, hopefully next week. On to the final tidbit which is the meat of this post and is from an event that took place on November 28th. Weibo is a massive Chinese microblogging website and they held a ceremony two days ago to recognize those Japanese entertainment figures who are the most popular at their site. Nanase won the 'Topic Actress Award' which is a bit of a surprise but no doubt she still has many fans from her Nogi days. Was also reading in a recent interview that's she's been learning Chinese but has such a difficult time pronouncing things. Plenty of ultra terrific pics from the ceremony and following them is a video of it. Nogi also won an award for being the most popular group at the site, two members were at the event and will have those pics in the next group post.
