Episode seven title: I Am A Hot Blooded HumeGear Teacher!
Last batch of recaps totaled four and thought I'd keep it that way for a while. Not positive but think I'll be going back to just having two at a time, will decide on that by the end of the next post. The reason is if there are four in a row done today I'd only be one show behind as eleven episodes have aired, then it'd be a few weeks until the next batch. So thinking two posts a week for the next three weeks will catch us up on shows and the more I talk about just having two posts for today the more sense it makes.
As is the case in every episode up until now the main focus is on a HumaGear, one that has been a benefit to society but has been turned into a Magia by MetsubouJinrai.net. If you've read the previous recaps you know they're the terrorist group responsible for turning nice HumaGears into evil ones or as they're called Magias. The leader of the group is Horobi who we begin to see much more of, up until now his assistant Jin has been doing the dirty work of turning HumaGears into rogues.
That bottom screenshot is of the HumaGear Sakamoto who is the coach of a junior high school basketball team. The school's main teacher Satou felt that Sakamoto had been going overboard with his coaching and is pushing the boys too hard. So he's contacted Hiden Technology to have the HumaGear 'reset' and the young president Aruto Hiden personally wants to be on the scene and of course he's with his trusty HuimaGear assistant Izu. Also on the scene was the A.I.M.S agent Fuwa who truly despises HumaGears and wants this one destroyed, don't know why he doesn't stick to hunting down rogue ones.
Sakamoto does work his small group of boys hard but none of them complain as the HumaGear coach does care about his boys and helps them out so much with the finer points of playing basketball. But the problem is the boys just aren't that good, Sakamoto has been the coach for two years and the team still hasn't won a game. The boys though have a fun time playing but perhaps for not much longer as some of them are considering quitting the team but the main reason is that they'll soon be going to high school and they think some new blood should be brought in.
Towards the end of the previous episode we met a MetsubouJinrai.net Magia called Lil' Assassin whose goal was to hunt down and kill Kamen Rider Zero-One who is Aruto. This assassin is a bit of a clown and at times you wonder how could he kill anyone as he's also inept though quite powerful. The A.I.M.S. agent Yua has stumbled upon the information that Lil' Assassin is on the hunt for Aruto and intercepted the Magia before he could cause any harm. Yua can transform into Kamen Rider Valkyrie, though not the strongest fighter she's the most efficient. As you can see above she transformed to fight the Magia and was able to defeat it but what happened after is the one thing that's left me confused, here and into the next episode.
Yua as Valkyrie was able to capture the Lil' Assassin and brought it to the A.I.M.S. base for some testing. But she also reprogrammed the Magia to follow a new set of orders which were mainly the ones that been told by Hirobi which was to destroy Kamen Rider Zero-One. In the next recap we saw a flashback of this scene where Valkyrie was reprogramming it but for now it doesn't make much sense, is she secretly obeying her mysterious superior's orders to destroy Aruto and if so why? There are over forty episodes to go so naturally we must be kept hanging about a few things.
Meanwhile back at the school the teacher Saitou still wants the HumaGear coach Sakamoto reset. A deal was struck up where if the team won their next game Sakamoto would remain as the coach, however another loss means he would be reset and who knows what kind of HumaGear he would then become. You would have thought the boys would have prevailed in their game but at the end blew a chance to win and lost by only two points. The crowd was dejected save for Saitou as now Sakamoto would be reset and there would be no more team.
Wouldn't have mattered anyway if the team had won for there's no way Sakamoto could have remained coach as after the match he had been ambushed by Jin who quickly transformed Sakamoto into an evil Magia. When that happens there's no going back to being a good HumaGear and once again Aruto as Zero-One had to battle a HumaGear whom he liked. Every encounter is getting tougher for him and the A.I.M.S agents as the Magias are getting much stronger. At first just one Kamen Rider could defeat a monster in a battle, now it's takes at least two plus it doesn't help now that Jin himself can turn into a Kamen Rider albeit an evil one.
So it took both the Kamen Riders Zero-One and Fuwa to defeat the now rogue Sakamoto HumaGear while during their clash Valkyrie squared off against Kamen Rider Jin and once again thwarted his attack. Jin has the ability to turn into a Kamen Rider but in the three shows since he could he's been soundly defeated every time though soon he'll be turning the tables. Jin has that ability as he stole one of Zero-One's Progrise Keys, they enable a person to turn into a Kamen Rider and every Key has a special power. Not just any person can transform though as you need a special belt to insert the Key, all HumaGears also have that unique belt.
So once again the trio of Kamen Riders was able to propel the attack of MetsubouJinrai.net and it was a happy ending. No more coach Sakamoto for the boys but a new HumaGear was created to lead the basketball team. But having this recap a tad shorter allows me to discuss a few other storylines briefly. One is of 'The Ark' which is a machine we've seen off and on these past few episodes but it's purpose hasn't been fully revealed. It's a machine that the MetsubouJinrai.net group is hoping to restore to it's full powers and once that happens the world may not stand a chance against the terrorist group. Supposedly 'The Ark' can turn thousands of good HumaGears into rogue ones at once but what it's going to take to make it 100% isn't clear yet.
Yua as Valkyrie is a mysterious A.I.M.S agent as she's been secretly meeting with the organization's leader in private unknown to her partner Fuwa. It appears that the leader had ordered her to reprogram the Lil' Assassin Magia and to continue it's quest to destroy Aruto but as mentioned why is the question? When the recaps are less than three full segments will have a chance to talk about these subplots a bit more, didn't have the chance in the previous two shows.
As mentioned of course with forty shows to go many things are a bit of a mystery to us viewers. That naturally makes sense as if we knew everything the viewing pleasure wouldn't be as interesting and why bother watching the shows then if you know everything? The recap for episode eight is the next post and still unsure whether that'll be the final one for today or if there will be four recaps.
