Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Yuumi Shida: 2019 Magazine scans part one....
Yumemiru Adolescence has always been a fave group of mind though not a huge one in the league of C-ute or Nogi. But all of their tunes are worth listening to as they're so upbeat and fun. But don't know what the current status of the group is as they haven't released a single for over a year though they did have an album that came out in March. Read a rumor where management is doing a massive reshuffling and has asked four of the six members to leave or something along those lines but that seems a bit harsh.
So will try to have more info in Yuumi's next post, hence the title 'part one'. But at the top is the PV for the group's highest charting single "Mai Gene". That single came out in January 2016 and reached #4 on the charts. All of the group's singles have done well, they usually place around the tenth position and as I said the songs are usually quite upbeat and fun. But there's been no singles since "Melon Soda" came out in July 2018, that song hit #12 on the charts.
On to Yuumi who I like quite a bit and so don't you viewers as her posts are always very popular. However haven't done any posts since April which was part two of her huge WPB-Net #228 pictorial. Can't give a good reason why I've forgotten about her as there are many mag spreads for this year, so many need two posts for the. Yuumi was once a Kamen Rider gal and appeared in the 2013-14 series.
Bring that up as I just began on this year's show which is "Kamen Rider Zero-One". The series began two months ago but finally watched the first episode today and hope to have a pair of recaps for the first two shows tomorrow or the following day. Mainly mag spreads for both posts but will have a few other assorted things, the second post will probably be this weekend. Yuumi is quite a varied person as she's a J-Pop Idol, actress, gravure and regular model. These are some regular modeling pics from the Heather Dairy site.
Yuumi hails from Iwate prefecture and on September 25th was at an event in Kamaishi City to promote the 2019 World Rugby Championship. The first round was played in a city stadium that had been heavily damaged by the 2011 earthquake, another game was played there on October 13th.
Not really sure why it's taken me so long to post these spreads as I do like Yuumi quite a bit. Will start with her first one of the year that was from issue #11 of WPB.
Smaller set from WPB and their April 1st edition. Both sets were promoting her WPB-Net pictorial which is worth checking out if you missed it.
Also have a pair of sets from Flash and this spread is from their March 5th issue, was planning on having these in order which didn't work out well at all.
Second Flash spread is from their May 28th edition. Yuumi was the cover girl for another set for them that came out two months ago, that'll be in her next post.
Yuumi is also the cover girl for today's final set which is from the June 18th issue of Weekly Ascii. After the pics is a short video promoting her WPB-Net pictorial.
