Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: 'Tokyo Virtual Runway Live' show pics from June 27th plus a tad more....

Had been looking forward to this show but it kind of turned out to be a disappointing event. One reason for me(us) looking forward to it is that it had been close to four months since we've seen the group or a member at an event and I really enjoy those 'live' pics over most others. Least it was somewhat good seeing them appear at a show after such a long gap and also a few others who I like appeared at the show, more on it at the bottom of the post.
Rarely start off with Mai as tend to just talk about her in solo posts and she's had about sixty or more to date, forget the exact number as it's been too long since her last one. Don't expect too many posts for Mai coming up any time soon, she did have a new CM that recently came out but it's been a while since her last mag spread and though still officially a Nogi member isn't going to be doing any group events. That is save for her 'farewell concerts' and let's face it, there's no way a normal show can be held so perhaps it's time for her to say sayonara and is a final concert a necessity?

Just a few other new items for today besides the event pics and there weren't as many as I was hoping. No new mag spreads once again though the group does have a huge pictorial coming out in the next issue of BLT. The group's 'Nogi Cinemas' ten episode drama was okay but not a must watch, subs for it were done by Beam Subs. They're also doing some member segments from last weekend's '46 Hour Live' show that aired on Abema-TV. Will be doing some posts for my faves if their segments are subbed but what I really wish is the group that was doing the "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken" drama would sub the final three episodes.

Whew, as long as Miona's segment is subbed I'll be a happy person. Wouldn't mind seeing Asuka's bit done too and she has her 22nd birthday coming up soon. At one time she was having a lot of solo posts but there's been zero this year as her appearances in magazines has really slowed down. But do have some fine new pics from the With Online site and their 'Nogi OL' campaign.

Shame there's no new pics from the site for Minami as her pics are usually ultra superb. Bit of a small post so why not have some terrific pics from a graduate? That's Misa who did get married late last year but I've continued to post new pics of her and will always do so as she was such a huge fave of mine. These oki-doki pics are new ones from the Bijin Hyakka site.

Some brand new pics from the GRL site and there's a big reason for that.

Which is that at the first ever 'Tokyo Virtual Runway Live' show the six members appeared on the GRL stage. The show was streamed live on Abema-TV and think it took place at one of their huge studios. Of course there was no audience but there was a 'virtual' one as you'll see in some of the pics. The gals who took a stroll on the stage all looked quite good, especially Miona. But their walks were only forty seconds long and that was the case for everyone at the show.
You may not think about it but an audience does play a factor at these shows. Many models looked kind of bored with their short strolls and they may have missed the connection with a crowd. My main beef though was with the music which was beyond horrible, no groups I've heard of but some seemed to be popular and I wonder how? Airi Suzuki performed too and at least her song was decent. Here's the pics from the event and the quality of the show was decent though not top notch but at least it was nice seeing some members live in the flesh again. There's going to be another one of these shows in September which will be sponsored again by 'Girls Award'. After the pics have a fun video which I had never seen before, it came out in March 2018 for Meiji and think fans will enjoy it.
