Ayumi Kinoshita: Her endearing 'NS-Eyes #361' pictorial plus a few other tidbits....
Hoping to make this a quick post but seems doing a post quickly isn't in my vocabulary! Yesterday was going to have an older Ayumi post for that section called 'Featured Post of the Day' which has become popular with you viewers. While checking out her posts did notice this pictorial from 2006 had never been posted, it's not her best set of pics but does contain some dazzling ones! Plus I have been a bit nostalgic as of late and especially with all of the older Japanese series I've been viewing.
If you've read most of my posts over the years then you may recall what a massive fave of mine Ayumi was and still is! She was my first #1 Japanese woman when I began to get into movies, dramas and J-Pop around 2007 and she was my top gal for about five years. Then on her 30th birthday in December 2012 Ayumi did get married and has had a few children. she still does act but as far as gravure work goes this set for today was her final pictorial in that genre. So even though Ayumi's activities did slow down after 2012 did review a movie she starred in from 2013 plus when I did my first ever 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list in the Summer of 2018 Ayumi still finished in the fifth position! That's mighty impressive to me and still do the occasional post for her that feature older missed things but am wondering will this post for today be her final one ever?
As many fans of the older Sentai series may recall her 2004-05 show "Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger" is what shot her to fame and that is my all time #1 Japanese Sentai/Super Hero series. Ayumi looked so terrific playing the role of Jasmine and that was my introduction to her. She was so popular for a five year stretch beginning in 2004 and her three photobooks all hit number one on the charts, so didn't her four DVD's! I have all of them and highly recommend viewing them but they are harder to find. Never did recap the 'Dekaranger' series and though I've viewed it about ten times it's been a while since my last watch.
Another thing I will recommend is her 2006 drama "Uramiya Honpo" where she played a beautiful yet cunning woman who enacted revenge for victims, there was a second season three years later. Can't recall where I got the subbed version from but wherever it was that site is no longer around which is such a shame as Ayumi looked and acted so terrific in that fun and exciting drama. She's also made many guest appearances on other Sentai shows and even a Kamen Rider series plus has been in a few movies. To this day so many older Sentai fans still recall the character of Jasmine and Ayumi does a lot of work keeping the show alive as she does many appearances on talk shows and such. Those two pics below of her dressed in yellow are from last year as there was an event to promote another 'Dekaranger' DVD movie, there's been seven in all!
Did say at one time Ayumi was quite popular during the 2000's and she even released a single which wasn't a hit yet I though was decent. She even had two sets of trading cards that came out in 2005/06 and below are some of them.
Gulp, there's a few reasons why Ayumi was my #1 woman for about five years but it's more than just her looks as she really is such a fun and likable woman. Though then again Ayumi's looks definitely are close to being second to none and we need new adjectives to describe her....
We've hit the end and this pictorial was also the final one ever for Ayumi as she concentrated more on her acting career and her last set of gravure pics were those above cards. NS-Eyes was a long time series which had 2-3 of these pictorials a month and almost all featured actresses. This set came out in March 2006 and was #361, she also was in #360 that came out a few weeks prior. This is a solid set of photos but not as terrific as Ayumi's other pictorials or photobooks, there's a total of 56 pics. After this batch is her "Puro' DVD from 2004, the quality isn't fantastic but good enough and the video gets steamier as it goes along.... gulp....
