Yuki Kashiwagi: Her historical Young Jump magazine "Time Capsule" photobook, part one

The title says Part One and it's been eons since I broke a photobook up into two or more posts. As many noticed have been working on a mini project the last few months cleaning up older photobook posts, some were done over for I acquired a higher quality version. Then there's the case of me splitting up books into 2-3 posts when only one was needed, that affects how many views a book receives as for some reason the views decrease after the first post. So this book is a rarity these days but had no choice as this is could be the largest book I've ever posted to date as it contains.... 265 pictures! Wow, that is a huge book and this post has 134 of them while the next post has the remaining 131.

Bet this is a woman who many have forgotten about and it's understandable as I have also at times. But when I look back at the history of this blog perhaps my biggest fave who sadly gets overlooked at times is Yuki 😍 and if things had worked out differently she'd be in the hunt to be my all time #1 Idol!!!! That's how much I've adored her or at least from 2012-20 as she made the yearly faves list three times. In 2018 did my first ever "Top Twenty Faves of All Time" list and she just missed as Yuki ended up in the 21st position. While every list has been good there's always a position that could have been higher/lower or a woman who should have made the cut. Looking back on it think I should have included Yuki but some months before the list was done is when her activities began to decrease and it only got worse. It wasn't a case of her becoming unpopular but it was by choice.

I had read the Yuki was the highest paid J-Pop Idol in 2017 and perhaps for 2018 also which is why she didn't need to work as much. She used to have posts on a consistent basis here until 2018 but those dropped way off and this is her first one since September 2020. I would have done posts for Yuki since then but she rarely appeared in magazines or at events, she also had some health issues in 2021. Yuki left AKB in March 2024 after being with them for seventeen years but she was more of a PT member her final five years, would always appear on singles but didn't do much else. Yuki is a popular woman here but not at the level I thought, was just looking at her older posts which have a decent amount of views but not as many as I expected. Seeing as how there's a part two to this book which is the next post will continue my musings and such in that post. Considering Yuki was with AKB for so long she had so few photobooks, just three regular ones though did have a few web books early on. This massive book is a digital one released by Young Jump on January 29th, Yuki appeared in their magazine so often and this was a celebration of that. Think 2022 was the last time she had a spread for the magazine and will we ever see her do any more gravure spreads or books? This digital one mainly features her 'greatest photos' from their magazines as I did recognize quite a few of them. There were also some outtake pics included plus some newish ones that are in the next post, first pic below is the cover which is one of the newish photos. Not much more to add in about Yuki who I always thought was such a stunning looking woman but I thought she lost too much weight around 2020, also lost some of her breathtaking curves because of that. The only order to the book is that they go from oldest to newest pics, these 134 go up to about 2015 and check out the next post for the rest of this terrific book.
