Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mai Fukagawa: The massive 'a long forgotten fave' post....

While Mai was a fave of mine when she was a Nogi member she wouldn't have cracked my top five for fave members. Back in 2016 when she graduated the competition was much tougher than it is these days, too many of the gals I really enjoyed have left. Mai was the first key member to leave, while her departure didn't open the floodgates for others to follow for a long time that gate is now wide open and who will be the last first generation member standing?
This year hasn't been too busy for Mai compared to the first eighteen months following her Nogi graduation. She was in one film which will be discussed along with a stage play but no regular dramas though one mini web series. Mai will be in a new movie coming out in the Spring titled "Ai ga Nanda", let's hope her activities pick up next year. Have done about eight 'pairs posts' for Nogi members though never with the three Mai's, all have appeared as a duo but need to check if the three have any pics as a trio and if so expect a post for the three M's.

This is Mai's fourth solo post since she departed Nogi and her second one of the year, had mentioned she's been a bit quiet though do have about eighty pics for today. Mai is not what you would call a social media addict as she doesn't update many pics to her Instagram account though the top one is one she posted today.

Pics here are from a July interview for the Deview site. Mai's agency is Tenkarat and she was discussing how she works with their new talents whether they're singers or actresses, perhaps doing the duty has taken her away from doing more acting roles.

Hostelling is a travel website, she was chosen as their main woman of the month for August and these are her far too few pics from the site.

Have a few mag spreads, all are new except for this first one. Posted this set back in February but it's so darn good thought it needed to be seen again plus bet many may have missed that post. Huge spread at 16 pics and it's from the February 15th edition of Tokyo Walker Plus, the set is promoting her film that came out on the 17th "Pan to Basu to 2 Dome no Hatsukoi".

Rest of the spreads are new for here though Mai hasn't appeared in one for a few months now, this set is from the February issue of Mac Fan.

Fourth superb collection of pics is from the April edition of UTB.

Oooops, thought there were more than the above spreads though they do total about 35 pics. On October 25th Mai was at the red carpet ceremony for the 31st 'Tokyo International Film Festival' and did look super duper, she'll be turning 27 next March. Last year her "Pan to Basu to 2 Dome no Hatsukoi" film was screened at the festival, this year her upcoming film "Ai ga Nanda" was shown.

Mai has received many accolades for her role in the "Pan to Basu to 2 Dome no Hatsukoi" film, she had the starring role in it. Haven't seen it yet but will keep my eye open for it as it looks to be an interesting movie. On October 17th she was at the tenth 'TAMA' awards ceremony where she won the award for 'Best Breaking Actress' or basically newcomer. Think her film will also be shown at their film festival which runs until the 25th and here are many terrific pics from today's ceremony. After the pics have a video of the show but it has many of the winners which does feature a huge fave of mine who is also in the bottom pic and of course that's Mayu.
