Realize there are too many Idol posts here to count but in all honesty think I prefer posting about women like Mayu who is so down to earth and such a breath of fresh air. But then again can't think of a bigger fan of Morning Musume than her, from her Avalon radio show in February.
Not positive if Mayu is still a host of the Avalon radio show which airs on J-Wave. She started as a host for the show back in April 2016 but think she may have retired from it this past March. Will double check on that as perhaps it's just a break, here are some pics from last month's shows.
Never enough Mayu mag spreads but she does appear on many web mags. Have one pic here from the current The Television and two from the May edition of Fine Boys.
Would say for the last two years Mayu has been my fave actress. She's been in so many excellent dramas and almost always has the lead in them, only one I didn't care for too much was "Aquarium Girl" which aired last Summer. Her first starring role was in "SHE", recapped that series a year ago and really enjoyed it. Only complaint was that the series lasted for only five episodes but it was so interesting and mysterious.
Mayu's latest drama started on April 3rd and is titled "Yasuragi no Sato", appears to be a series we'll never see though. Reason for that is because it's an afternoon drama which airs at 12:30 pm Monday through Friday on TV-Asahi. It's also a drama that's aimed towards very older people, think the target audience is aged 65 and up. Mayu plays Yukari in the show who is a bartender, surprised she took a role like this but then again she doesn't usually do 'safe' shows though this one may be, On March 16th there was a press conference for the show and as you can see almost the entire cast is very old.
Mentioned above Mayu doesn't appear in enough print magazines but she does appear on many web mags and also does a ton of interviews. Pics here are from last year but hadn't posted them and she looked quite good in these pics so though why not? These are from volume 13 of YouPaper.
These are from a new interview Mayu did for her current drama from the web site Dogpatch. Mentioned above that Mayu is a huge Morning Musume fan, after the pics is a video which I hadn't posted before. It's from last year when Mayu performed a song with them in concert which is really worth a watch if you're a fan of her or the group.
