Kasumi Arimura: A lot of a few recent happenings....

Think we'll be seeing quite a bit of Kasumi over these next five or so weeks, sure there's no complaints from her fans out there and that fan base has really risen over the last few years. Kasumi's next film is "March Comes in Like a Lion 1" which comes out this Saturday, will definitely have a post for the premiere. It's a two part series with the part two coming out on April 22nd, here's some recent interview pics from the Pose site for the films.

Kasumi has the lead role in the next NHK asadora "Hiyokko" which starts it's 26 week run on April 3rd, it's be airing until September 30th. It's a big honor having the lead role in those dramas as those asadoras can really help your career as their ratings are off the wall, usually between 22-25%. Here's some promo pics from the show's site.

And to help promote the drama here's a nice spread from the March 11th TV Weekly Plus.

On March 15th there was another press conference for the "Hiyokko" drama at the NHK station. The series is set in the year 1964, bit of a rags to riches story as Kasumi's character Mineko lives in a remote mountain village. Her father travels to Tokyo to earn more money to send her brother to college, Mineko ends up going there too to work and look for her father who never returned. She can't find him but keeps the search up while working in a restaurant.
May sound a bit boring but it probably won't be, the episodes are fifteen minutes each and with that length the stories seem so much more interesting. Kasumi was at the event that was held today, she has on the outfit that she'll be wearing in the show.

One last thing is a brand new CM for SK II, fabulous pics here are from an event she did back in 2016 for the product.
