Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Erika Toda!... Yuko Oshima... Nogizaka46!.... C-ute.... Masami Nagasawa!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Also these days(mid-2017) have many posts for Korean actresses, dramas and films that are worth checking out as over the years have become a much bigger fan of Korean dramas versus the ones from Japan.

Few tidbits.... have no idea why the background color constantly changes, think Blogger keeps doing it.
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

Erika Toda: "Death Note: Light up the New World" screening pics and video

April I think was the last time for an Erika post, however she still has such a sizable lead in posts over every other actress don't think she'll ever be caught. There are a few other new happenings so expect another post for her this weekend. The 'Death Note' animes, mangas and films are truly must watches, as you know Erika was in the two films and now she'll be reprising her role as Misa in this new film which takes place ten years after the last one.

Misa was seventeen in the last film but is now 27, she's has remained in the acting profession and is still quite popular. She's lost her memories of being a Kira but somehow remembers enough to help find the six new Kiras who are creating havoc in the world.
Have a feeling that second 'Death Note' film will be viewed again very soon, that's one of my all time movies from Japan. That film came out in 2007, Erika also starred in the "Liar Game" drama at about the same time and those two things are really what catapulted her into stardom.
The 'Death Note' film has it's official release on October 29th but on the 20th there was the first showing of the film at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. Erika is single again and has been for the last few months, the way she looks these days she should have no problem finding someone and hopefully the name of that guy is Nao! Easy to see why Erika was my ultimate #1 for so long, if she gets back to being in the public eye more she may reclaim that position. Have some truly stupendous pics from the event along with a video after them.

  1. Man, she's really looking good even approaching 30.

  2. Definitely looking much better as she had lost so much weight and was looking like a skeleton, now it appears she's back to her normal alluring state. Will do another post this weekend as she has another film coming out in November plus she's in a late night drama that started last week.
