Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: A little bit of this and that for 2017 #14....

Erika's newest stage play 'Les Miserables" opened today at the Imperial Theater in Tokyo. Like I've mentioned on a few occasions that means sadly we'll be seeing even less of her as the play will be going on until October as it'll be preformed in many other cities. Think at this point Nogi needs Erika more than she needs them, my money is still on her being her next popular member to graduate. Pics here are from a preview performance of the play that was held today.

Misa's first photobook as Nogi member continues to sell well as it was #2 on the Oricon charts. First week in a long time a member didn't have the best selling PB but in a way they did as she was the cover woman for BLT Graph #19 which was #1 on the charts. It's a very huge mag, so big they must consider it a book.

Second place sold 2,481 copies while Mai was in third with 2,205 sold. However that lowish number put her over 200,000 in sales which to me could be a record for an Idol. Sales figures have been way down the last few weeks, Asuka was in seventh but the sales were only 683.

Mai 'Passport'- 200,590
Asuka 'Shiosai'- 111,845
Misa 'Hanashi wo Kikoka'- 65,992
Manatsu- 'Manatsu no Kiatsu Haichi- 50.050
Nanase 'Kaze wo Kigaete'- 127,755

Nanase's photobook came out last September but except for one week has been in the top ten, this past week it sold 584 copies. Today is her 23rd(!) birthday, unsure whether I'll do a post for the occasion. Really nothing new and seeing as how she has 275 posts here there's enough fabulous things for all you to reminisce over.
Tomorrow Karin celebrates her 24th b-day, perhaps a post for her is long overdue as she's never had a solo one and I've always liked her. She's like too many Undergirls who don't get enough attention as for the most part blog pics are about the only thing I ever post for her. Here's the duo on yesterday's 'Showroom' promoting the group's new album.

Right now I'm playing and of course enjoying immensely is their first album "Toumei no Iro". That came out in January of 2015, probably my top ten fave Nogi songs are on that album and bet half of them are B-sides. That album sold 222,000 copies it's first week out.
"Umaretekara Hajimete Mita Yume" is the title of Nogi's third album which came out two days ago. Like everything the group releases these days it's selling like hotcakes as sales are a little over 300.000 copies sold after those first two days. Wish they had waited a little longer to release it as it's only been a year since their last album 'Sorezore', that sold close to 275,000 in it's first week. Will play the new album over the weekend and will let you know how the new songs sound.

Last Friday had a post for the "Asahinagu" stage play which opened up on May 20th. Seven members are in the play which is an action packed one. Asuka has the lead role of Asahi in it and these are some promo cards for it.

Have posted many group cards for May but missed these ones for Erika and Miona.

May have already posted Miona's cards but who can ever get tired of looking at her. Have five new blog pics here of her but before those are also five new ones which are from Himeka.

Nogi has been doing a campaign for Baitoru the last month or so, they're a temp work company in Japan. Every Friday a member has a promo pic for the company, it's Friday in Japan which means Misa's video has just come out.
