Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Rena Takeda... Miyu Kitamuki... Nogizaka46!....Risa Watanabe.... Nanase Nishino!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Also these days(mid-2017) have many posts for Korean actresses, dramas and films that are worth checking out as over the years have become a much bigger fan of Korean dramas versus the ones from Japan.

Few tidbits....
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

The new blog is up and running, there you will find 100% of the posts dedicated to actresses, dramas and films. That means you won't find those types of posts here any more which means you'll have to go there for posts featuring Erika Toda, Mio Imada, Tsubasa Honda, Park Min-Young and many others.

Aoi Morikawa: Her intro post #1....

Of all the women that have been introduced the past year bet Aoi has been on the 'Need to post about' list longer than any of them. She's quite a busy young woman but there are such a lack of magazine appearances for her which made me keep holding off on her. But thought just because Aoi doesn't have many mag spreads the last few years is no reason not to have posts for her and she looks just as good at promo events or doing web interviews.

At the top is a new CM for QUICPay and more info on that at the bottom of the post. Can't believe how many of my faves were born in the ten day stretch from June 11th to the 20th, bet there's over ten of them and need to update that b-day list on the right hand side. Aoi's birthday falls on June 17th and though she may not look it she'll be turning 23 this year. As mentioned there's a lack of recent mag spreads though she was an exclusive Seventeen model up until April of 2015.
Will be plenty more of these posts coming up as Aoi does appear at so many events, she's been at two this week and there has to be a dozen more since last Autumn. To me Aoi is one of the top young actresses around, perhaps not everything she's been in has been top notch but her performances always are. Do recommend the films "Schoolgirl Complex", "The World of Kaneko" plus a few others, the "SHE" drama was also one worth checking out. Have viewed "Schoolgirl Complex" twice though never reviewed it, will watch it again and do a post for it.

Aoi these days usually has the main lead or female lead in her films. She's been in two that have been released this year and has another one coming out later in 2018. "Saki ni Umareta Dake no Boku" was a movie she had the lead in and it was released last October 14th. Will have a post soon for it's premiere, these are five pics each from interviews from the Mag2 News and Spice sites for the film, both are from last October.

Title of the film translates over to 'My High School Business'. These are more superb interview pics Aoi did for the film which were for Real Sound.

"River's Edge" was one of the two films Aoi has appeared in this year that has been released. She actually doesn't have the lead role in the movie though it is a major part. The film had it's premiere on February 16th at the TOHO Cinemas in Shinjuku and she looked a tad different with her reddish hair.

Lastly are more terrific Aoi pics from an event that took place on March 16th and was for QUICPay. They're a Japanese company which issues easy pay cards and the event was for a new Smartphone app for the company. Aoi looked tremendous at the event and was also promoting a Sakura milk drink you can get at their Ototesando store until the end of the month. Plenty of pics from the event followed by a video from it.
