Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Erika Toda!... Yuko Oshima... Nogizaka46!.... C-ute.... Masami Nagasawa!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Few tidbits.... have no idea why the background color constantly changes, think Blogger keeps doing it.
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

Nogizaka46: A little of this and that for 2017 #28....

Will try to do a post in the next day or two for Yuuri who turned 24 yesterday. Unfortunately she's not the easiest member to get new pics for which is such a shame as she's one of my bigger faves in Nogi. Forget the exact position but she did make last year's 'Top Fave Ten Nogi Members' list, as far as looks go not many members have anything on Yuuri.

If I can't find enough new things perhaps a 'pairs post' could be in order with Hinako who also had a birthday this week, she's someone who has kind of disappeared the last few months.
Been a quiet last two weeks for Nogi except for last Sunday's Senbatsu lineup announcement for their new single. Keya released their first album this week and really think one group stays out of the limelight so the other can get the attention as both groups are managed by the same company.
Have two new mag spreads and though this first one is only four pics they're truly superb ones. It's from Young Jump #34 and it features the third generation member Minami. Glad to see her finally get a spread as she's my second fave new member, she's also Nogi's tallest gal at 170 cm.

Naturally I've always liked Nanase, she's about to become just the third gal to reach 300 posts. However for so long never thought she was too attractive compared to some other members but in the last year think her looks have improved more than any other member, these days I will say she is quite impressive looking. Nogi's first film "Asahinagu' will be coming out on September 22nd, she has the lead of Asahi in the film. This spread is promoting it and it's from volume 35 of Switch.

Nanase turned 23 on May 25th, kind of like woman when they tend to get a bit older. Been posting many pics the last month of her from Non-no's Instagram site and have plenty more of them today. Will have her spread for September's issue of Non-no in Nogi's next post.

Nogi's next single is titled "Nigemizu", have heard a shortened version of it which was just so-so. But perhaps the longer version will be better, the PV is out for it though it's not on YT. Sure we'll be seeing many upcoming things soon promoting it, release date for it is August 9th and the title means Escaped Water. Few promo pics have come out for it and here are a some of them.

Baito is a jobs agency in Japan and Nogi has been doing CM's for the company for many months now. About every two weeks a new video is released, have been slacking on them as this is the 14th one and think the last one posted was #10. But the brand new video is good as it features Kana who is a member we don't see enough of and sadly she like four others was demoted to Undergirls for the new single, on her blog she was very disappointed with what happened.

  1. You know who needs a mag spread out the 3rd gen?...Kaede, Christie and Hazuki! I think with a little spice, they could look reaaaaaaaaally good. The example i had in mind was Kotoko. When she had that hairstyle on the Bingo ep(forgot which one, somewhere in season 6/7 i think) where i think Marika did a little makeover for her, that was the bomb.

  2. Kaede is someone I'd really like to see more of, she's my fave third generation member. Problem is when you have 46 members like Nogi does now it's so difficult for many to get attention.

Bet the largeness of a group plays a big part in members graduating, have to look no further than AKB and their sister groups for perfect examples. On the other hand when C-ute disbanded in June the five members had all been there since they formed in 2005.
No clue why that Baito video is already been deleted on YT, need to find another one.... fixed.

  4. Yeah, i feel it does too. Size and senbatsu IMO. Folks have their eyes set on it, members letting themselves down for not making it in, saying that they'll do better next time but you know it's not going to happen anytime soon because of the popularity they're against. When there is more people, the pie disappears quicker. Kinda sad really, right now ya got members who have been there since the start but then get overshadowed by newcomers. The focus changes and stuff. One thing i don't like about members graduating is when they do a 'graduation song', it's always sad. Idol life has some really complicated stuff haha was what i thought when i finished watching JJ's 'Budokan'. Tis a shame the big conflict was predictable but was not expecting the end like that so i enjoyed it. I liked Yuka's acting in it. Mann, once the majority of the first 3 gens of AKB left, i started to lose interest. Oh bruh reminds me of when Berryz Koubou disbanded TT. Anyways I SEE A TOMOKO POST!!!

  5. A few AKB members had left but when Mariko graduated that seemed to open the floodgates for other popular members to leave. Sadly that will be happening with Nogi soon, so many Undergirls are in their twenties and they just may feel what's the sense being stuck as an UG for the rest of their careers. Though bet gals like Chiharu will stick around, she's a college student and sure her Nogi wages are paying for her education. Don't know how many others are attending college though know that Kaede is.
Forget the exact X-Mas show but it was either 2013 or 2104. It was a Hello Project show, Berryz along with C-ute, Morning Musume and others came out to perform "Romance no Tochuu" with Juice-Juice. That version ranks way up there with being the most fun song I've watched, just wasn't the full song. It's still on YT, links probably don't work here but you can always copy this.

  6. Chiharu knows French(i think), i wanna hear it one day. It's funny how Shinuchi has a regular job outside of Nogi, wonder if she's still doing it.
Now that's a pretty cool collaboration! When i heard Berryz's Miyabi, i went full fanboy haha

  7. Chiharu does know French as she was featured once on a Bingo!(?) show where they followed her around campus and listened to her in French class. Don't know if Mai still works outside of Nogi, she did for a while but it would very difficult to juggle a full time job with all of the group activities.
