Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Yuu Kikkawa: Magazine scans #4 and fourth single video

Approaching the end of these older Yuu mag spreads, let's hope she's reading this and puts out some more new ones as these days there may be no Idol who can top her looks. Don't know if it'll happen but can easily seeing Yuu taking the #1 spot on my top ten 'Idol List', perhaps not at this moment but easily by the end of this year.
Do have other Yuu things besides mag spreads though, soon will start posting about her concert and promo events. Wasn't planning on posting spreads prior to 2012 but seeing as how Yuu was born in 1992 she's plenty old enough for a pair of 2011 spreads with the first one being from the May UTB, spread was helping her promote her first solo single "Kikkake wa You!".

Another Yuu UTB spread here which is from their October 2011 issue.

Will make this the final Yuu spread for this post, as mentioned there's not a huge supply of them left and would like to stretch them out a bit. As usual an superb set of pics or actually should say better than superb, these are from the July 30, 2012 issue of UTB, may be hard to notice but she does have an ultra kawaii smile.

Yuu's first two singles reached the top ten and her current ones are also doing well. However her third and fourth singles didn't do as well as her 4th one "Koko Kara Hajimarunda!" only reached #25 on the charts. Shame as it's a solid tune plus there's a B-side song "17 Sai" which may be even better.  Luckily her sales have increased since then though she will never be someone who is going to sell 100,000+ copies of a single. But that's true for most J-Pop artists or groups, even the more popular ones but perhaps when you're a solo artist you don't need to sell as many for your label as a group with ten or more members? Single was released on July 11, 2012 and the above spread was another one promoting one of her singles.
