Cabasuka Gakuen drama: episode two recap with screenshots

Think it's going to take longer listing all of the cast members than it will be doing the recap. Have left a few characters out due to space but for the most part these are the major ones. The series started on October 29th and airs on NTV, two episodes aired for this first weekend and air time is 12:55 am.

Jurina Matsui as Center/Kurage.... means jellyfish in Japanese
Sakura Miyawaki as Sakura/Same.... means shark
Yui Yokoyama as Otabe/Maguro.... means tuna
Haruka Kodama as Katsuzetsu/Tai.... sea bream
Yuria Kizaki as Magic/Saba.... mackerel
Nana Okada as Zombie/Karei
Ryoka Oshima as Kusogaki/Ankou
Juri Takahashi as Uonome/Iwashi
Mion Mukaichi as Jisedai/Isugi
Sayaka Yamamoto as Antonio

It could take all night to list them all so what I'll do is add two characters with each recap, way too many to keep track of!

No need to talk about the first episode as you can read the above post. Things are happening quickly at the 'Aquarium' hostess club as after what seemed only days the club is opening. The above chart has all of hostesses and two club employees but there are many more characters who are going to be introduced, we met many right at this episode's conclusion.
The whole episode is just about the club's first day, business was a bit tough at first but the gals improved dramatically as the show went on. Their tough attitudes had to be ditched quickly, not an easy thing for them to do and don't think they'll ever get rid of their Yanki persona. To the rescue was Kurage, there's a reason she's been voted the best hostess three years in a row.
She's an interesting talker which the biggest talent a hostess need to have. The girls from Majijo high school haven't had many interests besides fighting plus most probably have an F average in school. They watch Kurage and how well she interacts with the customers, she's well known and is asked a few times to join a party of men.

There were a few hiccups in the beginning but it didn't bother Saionji who is the club's manager. He thinks that having failures is the best way for the girls to learn and he was right. In just one day the girls changed quicker than you would think, before you knew it the club was packed. There was one incident which almost led to a brawl but Maguro was able to refrain from fighting, she seems on the ball despite spending at least five years in high school.
This first day passed quickly and though there were naturally some problems all in all it was a very successful first day. Those problems were minor compared to the two that arose near the end of the show. You may recall the rival of the Majijo school was the Gekioko school and they had many skirmishes in the previous two seasons but they did respect each other.
The leader of the Gekioko gang was Antonio, only the hostesses at 'Aquarium' have fish names. Antonio and her girls also have a hostess club which the name wasn't revealed unless I missed it. It's a popular club and it looks like the rivalry is about to start again. The two group's of girls have words but nothing comes out of it but we all know it will, this was when Kurage really assumed the leadership position of the club.

The Gekioko gang didn't stay long. know they'll be battling soon but wonder if it'll be brutal fighting like it once was. The second major incident which took place in the closing scene were with a pair of gentleman Same and Otabe were with. They only ordered tea as they said they were short on cash but Same told them it's okay as it being day one of the club they could get a discount.
Right after that offer they pulled out their badges as they revealed themselves to be detectives. Of course the pair were worried but they hadn't done anything wrong plus they were old enough, don't know the law but is 18 old enough to be a hostess where they serve alcohol? The detectives said they were fine but the reason they were there was because they were investigating a murder of a hostess that happened a year ago.
There was no evidence yet but the pair of detectives have the club's manager Saionji as their #1 suspect. He does act like a gangster quite often but also comes off many times as being quite daffy, so far there's no clues about whether he could have or did commit a murder. That final bit brings us to the end of this second episode.

Two episodes down and so far it's been an okay watch, think I'm going to enjoy this series. The setting at a hostess club is making it more interesting than another season at the high school, would have skipped it if that happened. The subs have been very good and the team name of the people doing them is at the top left hand corner of the screenshots. Hopefully will be back next weekend with the recaps for episodes three and four.
Plenty of screenshots here for you to enjoy and to help you follow the story better but don't think anything was left out. The vast majority of screenshots feature Jurina who looks jaw-dropping in this show. Well, least to me she almost always looks that way but haven't heard much from her this year. She did do a Summer drama titled "Death Cash", just the first two shows were subbed. Watched both and it seemed to be a good series, shame there were no other shows subbed.
What's hard to believe is that it's November and there's been only one mag spread post for Jurina this year! The last two years think there was a total of ten of them plus a few posts on other happenings, have no clue why she's kept such a low profile this year as she is the face of SKE these days. Guess it's time to do some digging for things as I've always enjoyed posting about her.
