Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: TAMA Film awards ceremony pics plus a few other new tidbits....

Really enjoy posting about Mayu as she's a breath of fresh air and a nice change from Idols. Think if I want to get her visiting here then better start posting about Morning Musume as she's one of their bigger fans if not the biggest.

She kind of fits in well with them and both do have the initials of MM. Mayu's been a bit quiet as of late but that's okay as she's probably been the busiest actress around these last two years, have been checking but don't think there's any dramas or films lined up for 2017 yet. Just a few new things but there's plenty of fine looking pics, missed this mag spread from September which is from the 9/15 issue of Tokyo Walker.

Last Mayu post had some pics for the Furryrate Autumn/Winter collection, to warm you up here's a few more new ones from them.

TAMA is an film awards show and it also hosts a film festival which is taking place now until November 27th. On the 19th they had their annual awards show and Mayu won an award for her roles in the two "Chihayafuru" films. The award was best 'up and coming actress' but don't see why as she's been around for a while now.
Mayu really looks super duper in these pics from the event but unfortunately there's no video from the event. So instead have a video from a new campaign for 'Travel Yonezawa' which is a Japanese city about 200 miles north of Tokyo.

  1. She's adorable. I think anyone born 1993/1994 or after can get these up and coming , rookie or rising star awards. more to do with age than actual career
