Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Hinako Sakurai: Her intro post #1....
Just about every new woman from Japan that I've introduced has either been mainly a gravure model or a J-Pop Idol. Many new Korean actresses you've gotten to know better so thought it's time to cross the Sea of Japan for an actress and as you've figured out this post is for Hinako which is one of my fave names though not many have it. Don't know if it's just me(probably) but doesn't that bottom pic remind you of someone from Keya?
Thought I'd get on the bandwagon before it departed as I think Hinako along with the other two new Japanese actresses who I've introduced this year will soon become fairly popular. Actually Hinako is becoming much more well known even though she's only been in the entertainment business since 2014. If being an actress/model doesn't work out looks like she has her next career lined up.
Though Hinako didn't enter the show biz field until three years ago she's not that young as she turned twenty back on April 2nd. She was first discovered in her hometown of Okayama when she won a big 'Bishoujo Grand Prix' contest in 2014, Okayama is in Southwest Japan.
Will have a few more of these intro posts coming up plus Hinako appears to be a rarity as she's quite a busy person so there should also be many in the future for new activities from her. Have a pair of mag spreads to start off with and Hinako has the cover for both of them. First set is from the April 17th issue of Big Comic Spirits and it was for her 20th birthday.
Second spread is from the January 8th issue of Young Jump and there will be more of them in Hinako's future posts.
One thing that's attracted me to Hinako is how conservative she is or at least she appears that way, it may not seem it but kind of prefer these kinds of gals to gravure models. Pics here are from an August interview for Hustle Press.
It's shocking that Hinako already has two photobooks, good for her but there's so many fabulous looking J-Pop Idols who have zero. That second PB just came out Friday and has the original title of "Sakurai Hinako". Her first book which came out last October didn't have an ingenious title either as it was called "It Is Sakurai Hinako".
Today which is still October 15th for me Hinako held an event for the release of that cleverly titled second photobook. The event was held at the Fukuya Bookstore in Shinjuku and many of the bigger book releases are held there. Have plenty of fine looking pics and isn't that down to earth style so refreshing? After the pics you can view a video of the event.
