Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Keyakizaka46: '30th Japan Best Glasses Wearer' awards show pics and video
I like these kinds of Keya posts versus other ones such as for mag spreads and other regular pics. Prefer seeing them and really this goes for all other Idols too in a 'live setting', think the gals may also look a bit better. Guess it's an honor to win a prestigious award like this one but don't know if any
J-Pop group was invited to the show last year. However at the 28th awards show there was a rival group of Keya's which won an award....
Nogi's award was for 'Best Idol group that wears Meganes' but that was a one time name for the award. This year Keya's award was a special one with really no definition, think the organizers like to have some popular artist or group be honored with a special prize as it draws in the younger fans.
Accepting the award for the group was Keya's captain Yuuka who said at the ceremony she's been wearing meganes full time since junior high, that word is Japanese for glasses. Also at the awards show was Keya's assistant captain Akane and can't think of any other words to describe the level of attractiveness she's hit, the whole world should wear glasses to see her better.
The ceremony took place in Tokyo on October 11th at.... Big Sight!? Also in attendance was Neru who really has been blossoming lately and will have some news about her if you haven't heard what it is in the next group posts. Yui K. was there too and she'll be celebrating her 18th b-day in twelve days, the fifth from Keya was the group's tallest member who kind of towers over everyone.
All of the members wear glasses regularly but obviously not when performing, perhaps there should be an award for Idols who look best in contact lenses. Huge amount of pics here from the show and unlike Nogi events there's a video if it which you can view after the pics. It's part one and you can watch the second half if you view it on YT. It's worth a watch as the host announces the group and members in the beginning when they're sitting in the audience and enjoyed their expressions.

Mad invite! Mizuho tho😍 looks like she's waiting for her 'Best Author' award. Keep forgetting Yui.K is a lil' girl, she looks older than she is, which is cool.
ReplyDeleteThose are some high heels that Akane, Neru and Yuuka have on yet they still can't top the height of Mizuho who appears to have shoes with no heels.
ReplyDeleteAnd she's looking mighty fine with the shorter hair. You could say I've fallen head over heels. On a side note, hope you get to watching Re:Mind soon. I just watched the first ep(no sub) and I think we're going to have some fun on this one...and also pretty lonely watching it by meself(my mates don't watch J-dramas TT)
ReplyDeleteWill start on Re:Mind next week once it starts airing on TV Tokyo as that version is what's probably going to be subbed. Was viewing those pics again and Neru is really looking super duper as she's filling out in the right places....
ReplyDeleteSweet! looking forward to it. Also Neru is 'da bomb' m8
